Ugh, rough day...

Cam's first real Early Intervention appointment was today and it was SO draining. It was so difficult to watch her struggle and cry through exercises. Tomorrow she has her first PT appointment and I'm dreading it. : (

Plus I think she has another ear infection.  And she won't nap.

Mama needs a cocktail, but first we're off to the pediatricians.

What a crap day.

Re: Ugh, rough day...

  • What is she in EI for?

Sorry you're going through this.  It can't be easy for any parent to watch ur little one cry :(  Just keep telling yourself that in the end it will benefit her!  And a few cocktails won't hurt either :)  GL!

  • oh man!  sounds awful.  i must have missed it, why is cam in early intervention?
  • It must be so difficult to see your LO in pain but know that what you are doing is what is best for her future.

  • I'm sorry it was such a crap day. As hard as it was on both of you, it'll just get easier and easier and she'll start to benefit from it more and more! Hugs.
  • *hugs* I'm sorry.  Hang in there. It's so important and can do amazing things (which I'm sure you know).  I hope it gets easier for both of you.

  • Thanks everyone!  Cam's in EI for gross motor delay.  She's pretty behind on all the "big" stuff.  EI says she has low muscle tone but her dr and I disagree (EI hasn't seen the fight she puts up to get her nose cleaned).  I think she's the perfect combination of a being little weak, lazy and content.  Plus it probably doesn't help that I'm a big softy, hence ME crying during her EI appointment - how embarrassing.  Hopefully as the weeks go by it'll get easier and easier and one day they'll actually be fun for her.  EI is a wonderful service and I'm really appreciative that it's available to us.

Thanks for listening. I really needed it today. xo

Oh and no ear infection!! Just a crab ; )
