Body Pillow - HTT

So one of my good friends (since we were 13), but definitely not my soulmate bff gave me her Snoogle Body Pillow - she just had her second child.

I'm pretty sure I'm really grossed out by the thought of using this thing.

Is that strange?

Is it wrong to give it to Goodwill and then buy myself a new one?

I think they're like $70 and I definitely want one.

Should I just attempt to wash it?

I would be kind of eh about using it too. I would not give/throw it away though- what if she gets pg again (by choice or accident) and asks for it back. "Ummm sorry, thought you were gross so I tossed it."

Will one of those even fit in a washer? I suppose if you think you could get it washed, then it would be ok to use. Otherwise, I'm like you - unless it's my absolute bff or sister, I would probably be weirded out by using it.

Is there a care tag on it? I think they are spot clean only. I wouldn't give it away in case she wants it back.

my sis gave me hers. i just washed the pillow case and figured i was good to go, lol.

oh, maybe buy another cover for it? they have like $20 ones that zipper on and off. just a thought... personally, i would not have spent $70 for the pillow. i actually didn't even spend $20 for another cover, just washed her case. and honestly, a bunch of pillows will do the trick. hate to tell you this, but i just can't get comfortable in any position hopefully i'm the minority!

I tried a body pillow and just could never get comfortable with it, so I stuck with a bunch of pillows that were more easily manipulated. And, I spent most of my last trimester terribly uncomfortable at night as well.

there ARE good things too! feeling the baby move, hearing the heartbeat, ultrasounds, etc. i b!tch a lot, but i know it's all worth it

I'd definitely say there are more things to look forward to then not. And, really I was only really, really uncomfortable for the last couple months of my pregnancy. (Of course, I delivered just over three weeks early.) I know it sounds corny, but as soon as I was looking into Amelia's sweet eyes all the discomfort of pregnancy and the pain of a (against my wishes) med-free labor/delivery no longer mattered....I won't say they were forgotten, but she definitely has made it all worth it.

Marcy- Could you get it dry cleaned? I would be grossed out too. Especially after I saw some documentary about the dust mites and body bugs that live in our mattresses and bedding Stick out tongue

I definitely wouldn't give it away in case she wants it back. But I'd probably only hold onto it for a year or two. Then toss it if she doesn't ask for it back.

I just bought a body pillow at BB&B for $20 and $10 for a pillow case, because I couldn't fathom paying $55 for a boppy pillow or whatever they're called. I haven't used it yet since we're still on vacation but I'm excited to use it when we get back!
