let's get physical...

I have that stupid song stuck in my head now. I worked out a little bit ago for the first time in forever and now I have Olivia Newton-John stuck in my head.

Honestly I feel better about my body image just by doing that today. I've been eating healthier this week and that really helps, but not exercising for as long as it's been really made me feel lazy.

Any other girls start a new workout routine or anything with the new year? I know I mentioned a while ago about doing like a weekly check in about diet/exercise...how would we want to do that? if anyone still does that is.

  • I was sooo good before the wedding and now I'm going to the gym 2 days/wk on average.  I'd like to get back up to 4, maybe 5 days.

    Last weekend I worked out with a friend for the first time.  She subscribes to a bunch of women's health mags/websites and had a new workout for us to do and I felt amazing (but sore) afterwards.

    DH got me a heart monitor for Christmas and I love it.  For the workout last week, I burnt 715 calories in 65 minutes.

    I'd be interested in doing a semi-involved but not diehard check in

  • I just went back the gym today for some cardio. Tomorrow is Zumba class. I am also going back to WW tonight and starting hot yoga next week. Should be interesting!
  • Clearly my mind is in the gut-terrr... I thought this was going to be a follow-up to it's below post, regarding positions or something LOL my badddddd..

     I'd like a check-in, something to hold me accountable.  I need some motivation.  I've been a total 110% slacker since the honeymoon, and haven't been able to get moving.  I'd be open to some sort of weigh in or something.

  • Me and DH are starting back up again. We were really good before the wedding, and then started slacking after the HM. Now we're back to 4 days a week.

    I wouldn't mind a check in once in a while.

    as for the check ins maybe every Sunday? I'm just picking that day because I started WW and that's my weigh in day so obviously it would work for me.

    This mind is in the gutter too, I thought the same thing!

    I did not work out at all over my Christmas break (two weeks), but I have been on my elliptical the last four days straight!  I also starting doing my ab workout again and two weeks off from that has made it impossible for me to do as many reps as before!  I feel so weak!

    Ken and I are debating getting a Kinect for XBox.  We (meaning Ken) already have the XBox so it makes more sense than getting a Wii.  Has anyone used the Kinect for exercise yet?

  • I too went to the gym every day before the wedding....since the holidays.....i have been slacking...i would be extremely interested in a weekly check in about exercise.....I totally have to get back to the gym plus it will get me out of the office!!

    I need to work out, I did decent before the wedding and now I am completely unmotivated. I would probably check in also, then I might have a reason to get off my lazy @ss!!

  • A check in sounds good to me too.  The more motivation I have to exercise the better.
