Hi! I'm new to these boards and not really sure of the etiquette, so I thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Kristin and I've been married a little over a year. My husband and I just moved to St. Pete, FL for school. We haven't even been here a week yet, so I have been bored and spending way too much time online.

I have been enjoying reading these boards since I have so much free time now and figured I would say hi!

Sorry....the above message was for MrsChelseaP09 and I didn't mean to post it twice! Still getting used to these boards!
Thank you everyone! Nice to "meet" you all.
My husband and I are both going to school for Mass Communications, although he is focusing more on the film aspect, while I'll be focusing on journalism.

It's nice to see other people in the same area of study! What school do you go to? Any recommendations for cool things to do here in St Pete? It's a little intimidating living here....I come from a super small town!
Hi and Welcome! You will love this board. Everyone is great!!!
I know - it always seems to be "en"
I went to Kent State (in Ohio) - I work at the St. Pete Times, and my husband works at the Bradenton Herald. I really liked Sunken Gardens and going to St. Pete Beach, and there are a ton of really good restaurants to try. One of my faves is Red Mesa Cantina, which is downtown. There is a big "First Friday" party downtown on the first Friday of every month, and the Saturday Morning Market is really cool, too. I know I'm forgetting a lot of other stuff ... I work nights and weekends, so I don't have the same social calendar as a lot of people, though

oh, that's awesome! I think I may have to do an internship at the Times before I get my degree, but I'm not positive on that. Thanks for the tips! I've been wanting to see Sunken Gardens. I'll definitely have to go exploring sometime soon around here.
Welcome! What school are you going to? How much longer do you have?
There are a lot of really yummy places to eat in St. Pete!
I went to USF St. Pete.
