How would this go over with you?
You're having a telephone conversation with your husband. He's at work, but answered his cell knowing who was on the other end. You're talking to him about something related to your son whom you just picked up from daycare. He listens for a little while and then rudely butts in with "Is that all?" - as in, is that all you've got because I'm really too busy for you right now.
A co-worker just did this to his wife. I don't know if it's just because I don't like him period, but I think it would really rub me the wrong way to have my H dismiss me like that.

It is a little rude, and I'm sure I've done it, and I know D has done the same thing, especially if I caught him at the wrong time, but I know he's apologized and I have as well.

we've both done it - i've done it to my mom, which I hate but sometimes just have to say " i gotta go bye " then click.
This for me.
I guess it depends on the conversation at the other end. If DH was crazy busy at work and I was calling to say DD had colored a picture I can see him being snappy. If I was calling to say DD was really sick or there was something wrong then he would need to be *** slapped.
I've done that before - I try not to be rude when I just gotta get off the phone though. I'd say something like, "Ya know, I'm super busy at work, but can we talk later?" I wouldn't just dismiss them like that. H has done that to me before, but he's apologized.
If either of us is too busy to answer, H and I have an agreement that we'll let it roll to voicemail. If I call more than twice, then he knows he has to call me back ASAP.
Yeah, would not go over well.
The guy (you may remember me referring to him as douchecanoe, a$$wipe, fat fvck, etc...I have tremendous admiration for him...not) who sits in front of me speaks like that to his wife sometimes on the phone.
I want to push his cube down so it topples on him.
