Today was very stressful at work. I had to leave sub plans for 2 weeks and we are in the middle of a ton of testing that I am doing instead of my normal intervention schedule. So trying to coordinate with the other 10 teachers I work with to get two weeks of plans was difficult! And now I still have to pack...yikes!
We will be going to NY until Tuesday. BIL is a professor at NYU and we will be staying with him and doing all the touristy stuff since I have never been. Then we get on a cruise to the Eastern Caribbean for 10 days. I have also never been on a cruise and am worried about getting sick but MIL gave me her electric bracelet thing so hopefully it helps.
Any tips or information for our time in NY and the cruise?
Re: AW: I leave for my honeymoon tomorrow
Oh I bet that was stressful! Just don't worry about it while you're gone because there's nothing you can do. Just enjoy yourself. I haven't spent much time in NYC. I saw Grand Central Station which is very pretty. As for the cruise. I don't get seasick so I loved being out on the balcony and observation deck. I hope you have a great time!!

Yay! I live in NY and NYC is one of my favorite places. We're supposed to get some snow this weekend so bring some warm clothes so you can get out and enjoy the city.
The Guggenheim is my favorite museum but I also love the Met and the Natural History Museum. Some of our new favorite eating spots are the Stanton Social downtown for drinks and tapas http://www.menupages.com/restaurants/the-stanton-social/ and http://www.citywinery.com/ The wine and cheese lists are gigantic.
Have a Crumb cupcake and definitely hit the http://www.doughnutplant.com/ The PB and jelly donut is amazing.
If you can brave the cold and go for ice cream, check out Serendipity for Frozen Hot Chocolate on the Upper East Side. I just saw a Guy Fieri segment on this place and want to check it out http://www.yelp.com/biz/tasty-hand-pulled-noodles-new-york
My favorite thing to do in NYC is walk the neighborhoods and see what you run into! The NYU area is fantastic, Soho is great for shopping, Chinatown is fascinating and you should also wander through Little Italy. If you like to ice skate, check out the rink in Central Park. The Rockefeller Center rink is a madhouse but very cool to see. I've also heard the the Top of the Rock restaurant is a great spot for a drink and amazing views.
Have a great time!
ETA: Rosa Mexicano is our favorite Mexican restaurant. Enchiladas to die for. http://www.rosamexicano.com/
