This is kinda a two part post, Im decoratively challenged
What kind of artwork do you have on your walls? Where did you get it? I was thinking about ordering some prints from art.com but it seems a little pricy for prints. I am looking at canvas though. It looks better in canvas right? There are two spots downstairs that need some art, the first place is above the fireplace and there is a spotlight on it so it might look odd to have a frame with glass refelecting the light.
which of these would look good on a blank wall over a couch?

Re: Art?
I love A and B!
Currently most of the art on our walls are photos of family and photos from our wedding. In our dinning room is a painting that I did a long time ago. In our bedroom are photos of lighthouses that DH and I have picked up at farmers markets and bazaars when we go places. Also a painting my best friend did of one of our wedding photos, best gift ever! And our guestroom has paintings that I've done.
So mostly our art are pictures I took or were taken of us and family or things I've done myself.
I love B!! I think it would look great above a couch.
Most of the things hanging on the walls in our home are pictures of family/friends. Above our couch is a collage of frames with some of our favorite black and white prints that we've taken ourselves.

I really like A and C, but really, any of them would look good in a living room.
We have a few wedding photos up, but our big art is this print from Diego Rivera (I'm big on color), a piece of art my FIL did and a huge painting I picked up at Home Goods because it had meaning to us (a couple doing a tango - we used to do that). I say whatever strikes your fancy is you so go for it.
I really like all of them, but not necessarily for a living room. I think A or B would work best in that sort of room. C looks good for an office and D for a hallway or guest room.
The only art I've put up so far in our house are pieces I bought from the farmers market last summer. We're finally starting to decorate our living room and the next thing we have to do is buy art for the walls. But it will be a while since we're on a spending freeze this month. *sigh*
We really need to decorate our walls. We do have a few wedding photos, although I think it'd be nice to hang up some updated pictures of us since that was almost 5 years ago! We also have a picture collage of our trip to Germany in the hallway. Maybe we'll do something similar with pictures from our trip to France.
Oh, and our artwork, I have some wedding pics, some pics from our honeymoon, some pics of Q, down the hall I have a collage of pics from our wedding, and us when we were kids (even my mom's nursing school graduation). I have some shadow boxes with shells I collected. In our bedroom, we have some prints from ikea (I rec them, it's cheap and they have a lot of different things. Home Goods can also have some nice things) In the kitchen, I have a canvas stilllife I bought at a museum.
Beware, it can cost LOTS more to frame art than to buy art. I don't like things without frames (even canvases) so, take that cost into consideration.
Well, after surviving 4 years of art school, I learned one thing: art is personal.
I like all the images you chose (I was a photo major and I love B&W). I'd say choose the one that means the most to you, that resonates with you. I think any will make a nice focal point in a room. Do you have a small room? The photos of the trees will make a room feel bigger (perspective draws you in, that type of thing).
Also, take the time to get a nice frame (if you go with the print). The prices seem very reasonable to me. Prints are more than just 'posters', a good print has a better quality than what you may be imagining. Just my thoughts.
Good luck & have fun

Hah. This!
You are going to have to look at it every day. I love B&W photography, but the only time I've done all B&W imagery in a room was when I painted the walls a SUPER deep and bold color. So it helped balance the room.
I think you can do photos on matte stretched canvas and it looks nice. Plus then you can hang it without having to necessarily invest in a frame.
The place I use now for printing photos to canvas is Photo Works.
Our art collection is pretty eclectic. Some of it is my own work, a lot of it is from my husband's family (many of his family members were painters and his Great Grandfather was a cartoonist). One painting is one his mom had commissioned for us for our wedding, and most recently I have a portrait of our dog from a Nestie- Chastity (who's screen name I'm blanking on because I haven't been on here in so long!). There are a few wedding photos thrown in, and then I have a ton of typography posters because I love typography.
I would say, if you like the idea of having a large B&W image and you are worried about glare go with a gallery canvas and pick the image that makes you happy.
