Working From Home = Fantastic!
So here in NY we are getting only a few inches of snow, but for some reason there are a ton of accidents and the roads are crap already.
I will be working from home today which is so much better than the office. I have a lot to do, but I get to do it in my PJ's while watching True Blood.
I remember snowdays when I was in school and it was the best feeling ever...I think I am going to get my work done quick, help dad shovel, and maybe do some sewing this afternoon!
Anyone else dealing with this weather today?

April 2010 Siggy Challenge: Next Vacation Destination
I would kill to be at home right now in my pjs. My neck hurts and I didn't sleep well and a nap on the couch sounds like just the cure. Too bad it won't happen.
DH is probably having an awful day at work today because one of his employees quit last night when they were on call. So yes, the office was closed and this guy was the one doing the work after missing 3 days for being sick (not so sure that's true anymore) and then he just quit, and not even to a manger, just told another employee he was done. So DH had to go out for almost 3 hours last night and now they are shorthanded until they can hire another person. Fun times.
I am working from home also, in sweatpants and my favorite college sweatshirt (purchased in 1988 and still going strong!). My boss is pretty flexible about us working from home so I do it when I have doctors appointments, am waiting for a delivery, etc. She sent a message to all of us last night telling us to work from home. We already have 3-4 inches here and it's coming down hard. I'm guessing my office is dead today.
DH works from home everyday. I swear the man lives in sweatpants. I've started calling him George Costanza.
TTC #1 since 4/10, Dx: MFI IVF planned for April/May
Liz, that sounds awful for your DH. Boo.
We did not get any snow this go around, although we were told that there was a chance. Last week we got 2 snow days, but I had already said that I was going to be off, so I did not get the free hours, which stinks.
I just have no motivation at all to do anythign right now. My brain has gone on its own vacation, and I have a meeting with my adviser for my research project on Monday and I have done nothing for it. Work is slow, so I really need to actually do something for my research project. Ugh.
You lucky duck! I don't know that anything in my area has ever shut down for a snow day!
Have fun working and playing!

SO jealous of the ladies working from home. I'm at work had to get my butt into the city! Tonight is our "Christmas Party" Clearly late but since we spent all of December throwing other people's parties now its time for ours and I have ZERO desire to go. Its 4 blocks from my office which isn't THAT far but its 6 blocks from where I park my car also not THAT far but I'd rather just head home at 5:30 rather then be forced to hang out with my office.
HOWEVER the good news is that my FRIDGE is being delivered at 1pm-5pm so my sister will hang out and wait for it. If they tell me no because of the snow I MIGHT have a breakdown as I am really looking forward to doing some cooking on Sunday!
