w e i g h t w a t c h e r ladies
I finally signed up on Monday afternoon. I think I'm going to try to make Thursday my check-in days. I was hungry pretty often yesterday but stayed within my points. Earned 13 activity points with spin class so I think I'm gonna have to find ways to add more protein to my meals on days when I take spin. What are you having for breakfast? That's what I need to work on.
Re: w e i g h t w a t c h e r ladies
Yay for you!
I like the Atkins Day Break bars for breakfast. Most of them are 5 points. They keep me full for hours. If you're hungry throughout the day, grab fruit. And apple is easy. On the new system fruit and veggies are 0 points.
If I have more time for breakfast I eat egg beaters and toast.
Welcome! I hope you have a lot of success with the program.
I don't do fruit for breakfast because it makes my stomach acid-y, so I like to eat egg whites and a cup of oatmeal or cereal for breakfast. That, plus my coffee (I use fat free half and half) puts me at 7 points. An easy breakfast option is an English muffin (3 pts) with a tsp of peanut butter (1 pt). I like the Central Market organic peanut butter that is sweetened with a little honey. It's less sugar / carbs than even the low fat Jif, etc. I also saw that low fat frozen waffles are only 2 pts each.
ETA: someone asked about exercise points at my meeting this morning and my group leader said that you don't HAVE to use up those extra points (or swap them or whatever they do). She said that WW really just wants you to use your daily points and the extra weekly points.
I'm probably a terrible person to give advice on the whole ww thing... as i'm a taaaad frustrated at the moment.
However, I have to force myself to even eat breakfast. I'm never hungry in the mornings. (actually, I'm never hungry until about 3pm...). Now that I'm on the program, I generally do two scrambled eggs for 4pts. I need the protein (vegetarian) and I can't stomach milk products that early.

Thanks ladies. I'm not a big fan of eggs and I'm trying to workout in the mornings and head to work from the gym so it has to be something I can make at work. I bought fruit today to keep in my office so I think I'll probably do oatmeal in the mornings and a piece of fruit.
I should mention that I've done WW in the past. Before getting pg with DS I had lost 45lbs. Unfortunately I gained it all back in the last couple of years. What I do know from doing it before is that tracking is THE most important thing. For me I also have to have a routine. Having basically the same breakfast and lunch every day so I won't "forget" my lunch and be tempted to eat out for lunch. WW works if you follow it.
ummmm. sure.
you could chase my big ole but to the gym each day. if i felt like someone was comign after me - i might actually get up and go! haha. kidding. sorta.
i have been following the program (for the most part) for 4 weeks now and only lost 2 freakin' pounds total. i know they were hard weeks with christmas, new years, vacation for us... but grrrrr.
i guess getting to the gym is going to be the thing that makes a difference for me. which makes me questions why i'm paying for WW anyway...

As for the gym, find group classes you enjoy (aka don't hate) and put them on your schedule. I've already told my MIL that every Wednesday I need her to pick up the kids because I'm going to a 5:45 spin class. I started going to this particular class in November. Now I'm trying to get to the 5:30 am classes at the gym but I only made it on time 1x and worked out on my own the rest of the week. Classes are so much better because I "whip out" on my own but I'm forced to finish the group classes. If you are a member at Gold's I recommend Body Pump, RPM(spin), Zumba and Body Combat. Body Combat is a little hard core but the first time I did it I burned 1000 calories! It's fun in the sense that you're getting your ass kicked but the class passes quickly so you don't notice the ass kicking too much. I have to lose some weight before I'll be able to comfortably dance around in Combat.
First of all I am so sorry your frustrated. I totally understand, its hard. I agree with Nessia on the gym classes. Even though Im just starting back again, when I did WW 3 years ago, I went to the gym atleast 4 times a week. I kind of thought of them as dance classes as a kid.I found the ones I liked, and the instructors didnt drive me nuts.
FYI: there is an instructor at our gym that can not keep a beat and it drives me BANANAS!
If youd like to email me Id be happy to set up atleast one day a week for us to meet at the gym ... aka we can kick each others rear ends

As for WW, yes tracking makes the difference. But another thing to keep in mind is that we didnt get to this point overnight. The program isnt going to make us loose it overnight either. For me I have to have the accountability, and the structure. I didnt learn positive eating habits growing up. Once you get into a good rhythm its going to be such an awesome feeling and sense of accomplishment.
