I hope you see this.  I just wanted to say that I noticed your dress in some of your comments on other posts, and I think your train is exquisite.  :-)

  • Thanks!!! I loved the dress but it was heavy. Yesterday I finally figured out how to get a picture in my siggy.

DH and I saw it at an antique show after we were looking at rings but a week before he proposed. He already had the ring and I did not know it. We were at the antique show with his mom and ran into his cousin and uncle and their wives. All the women helped me try on the dress. There was no place to try it on so I had to put it on over my jeans and long sleeve shirt. It was 2 sizes to big but knew it could be altered. The few stains at the end of the train ended up coming out for the most part. You could not tell if you did not know where to look closely. The dress cut outs and bodice were covered with hand sewn pearls. The best thing --- it was only $150. It fit in perfect for our vintage wedding.

On another note - I read you are in FL. I am a native floridian. Born and reared in Tallahassee. Spent ~20 years in Cape Canaveral before transfering to Houston.

  • Wow--sounds like you and that dress were meant for each other, then!

Do you like TX?  My brother moved to Austin about 2 1/2 years ago (after living in the Portland, OR, area for about 9 years).

  • Yes, I like TX but I miss the Florida beaches and more moderate weather. I used to live 600 feet from the beach.

We got married in a small town (Liberty Hill) 45 min north of Austin at his uncles restaurant.
