Recipe Rave - For Erin again

http://savorysweetlife.com/2010/08/salsa-verde-chicken-with-herbed-cornmeal-dumplings/

This chicken recipe is sofuckinggood!  Unbelieveable. I didn't have high expectations (no offense) because a lot of the recipes that I've tried have flopped but this was seriously the best thing we've eaten in a very, very long time.  DH said it was in the top 5 of things I've made.  Super easy, Super cheap, and Super good!

By the way - the salsa debate - the Mrs. Renfro's salsa verde includes jalepeno peppers in the jar, so thats why its so much spicier than the Ortega.  I used the Ortega medium salsa, and it was not spicy at all IMO.  Just a very slight kick.

Make it.

  • BAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMM!

    Did you hear that?

    That was Erin's head exploding!

    HAAAHAHAHAHA!

But seriously folks, one of my fave recipes of all time.  I don't say this lightly.

  • Clearly I am going to have to try this recipe.... so many raves, how can I not?!  Will try to make it on Sunday for dinner.
  • HA! Are you saying most of MY recipes are a flop??!! I take offense! Just kidding :)

Glad it was a hit! So happy I found that one. It's delish.

  • DH liked it.  I ate some of it, but it wasnt my cup of tea since its pretty fattening or felt like it to me. It makes a ton so i would probably half it if i make it again and throw some more veggies in the sauce since it was like the insides of a pot pie.
