Want to spend my money?

I know that nobody is awake right now, but maybe you'll be bored in the morning. The floor is laid in the bedroom. Now, I have to buy an area rug for the room. The room is 10x12. Right now, there is a queen sized bed and a long dresser in there. The furniture is black with silver hardware. This is the bedding that is in there:

The floor is called Brazilian Koa and looks like this

The doors are being replaced and will be white, along with the trim. I'd obviously like something with some color, but I don't know what. If I find a rug that I love, I can plan the accessories around it. So, want to help me shop? Thanks ladies!

I was going to say get something to warm up the room but those floor (which are gorgeous) really probably do a lot to do just that.

Hmmmmm I will have to think about this, any accent colors you would like to use in there or thinking about?

Glad they got the floor done.

I have no idea what color to warm up the room. My first thought was red but that might be too bold. I agree with Pooks on a color that will warm up the room. I'll let you know if anything comes to mind.

I vote turquoise (aqua?) as an accent color! This kind of shows what it would look like with the floors and B&W.

I also love the turquoise idea but you could do absolutely any color, or multiple colors. It is really a personal choice. I think if it was me I would either go with turquoise, buttery yellow, or even the yellow with some orange to bring out the tones in the wood. But like I said, with the existing palette you could do almost any color that you like.

Thanks ladies!! I love the turqoise/aqua idea. In fact, the bathroom that is down there also has black and white stuff, with sort of pool blue towels and rugs. I think that I'll try to find a rug that has some blues and yellows in it.

I told Drew about the turquoise/buttery yellow combo and he wasn't a fan. He said he doesn't like that particular shade of blue. He did like when I jokingly suggested doing navy/orange for the Bears or that royal blue/red for the Cubs. I think I may give him his way sort of and do Cubs colors in there. But not so much that it screams, "Hey, I'm a sports room and I really like the Cubs". I think I may find a red rug and then some artistic Cubs pictures. I told him that I wasn't going to put a team roster on the wall, but I would consider a nice picture of Wrigley if it's artistically done.
