Where to buy a microwave?

With my only 2 year old microwave's demise at DH's hand, I need to buy a new one. We plan to go to Best Buy and Home Depot. Any other places we need to hit? We don't plan to make it complicated. I simply want one that is full size, around $200, and stainless steel.

Re: Where to buy a microwave?

  • Target and Walmart carry them too, I believe. If you want some torture, you could try BrandSmart

  • I was gonna suggest Brandsmart as well.

  • We just bought one for Christmas from Target... they had some really nice ones.

  • Check Target, Walmart, and Bed Bath and Beyond.  BBB has great 20% off coupons, and you'll get one today if you sign up for their emails (you can cancel it later).  There is a BrandsMart near us...consumer H*LL!!!  The neon and flashing lights gave me a headache, and I didn't feel like they had any brands that were really reliable.  You could always check it out online and see if it warrants a visit.  Also, and I know this is far from you, but Sears has this outlet store thing on Mountain Industrial Blvd. that sells appliances really cheap.  You could check that out too if you're willing to drive. GL!

  • A regular Sears is also a good place to look.  (I like the Sears Outlet at Discover Mills better than the one on mt. Industrial but both are a haul from you.)  Appliance Smart near us had a ton of full size microwaves last summer when we were looking for a dishwasher.  Not sure if there is one near you or if you want to drive to marietta though.

  • I just bought mine at Lowes.

  • I'd avoid BrandSmart like the plague. I won't buy an item for more than $20 in there because of their return policies.

I'd check out BB, Sears, Home Depot, and Lowe's. If you have a model in mind - Amazon.

Au contraire! There is one in Marietta on Roswell Rd! I believe my ILs got their stove from there for 60% off.

I'd go Target, BrandsMart, Sears or BB&B.
