Happy Friday! Weekend plans?

I doubt anything can top camedown's big news yesterday, but what have you ladies got going on this weekend?

Tomorrow I'm going in for a big hair chop and I can't wait!  I've been growing it out for donation again and I just can't stand it at this point.  I probably have about 10" to donate, and my sister has probably 12-14".  We're having a girl's day at the salon with me, my mom, and my two sis's (mom and other sis are doing mani/pedi).  We bought a LivingSocial coupon months ago and are finally putting it to good use!

Sunday I'm headed out to Chicago.  I have to be there for work on Monday but am going out early to see friends and meet their new ~1-month-old baby!

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

Re: Happy Friday! Weekend plans?

  • I have nothing planned and am really happy about that.  We need to take down the Christmas tree so I will probably start that tonight.  Tomorrow I am going to sleep in!  Getting up at 6am for five days in a row after being on vacation for 10 days was really tough for me.  DH will probably want to watch the NFL playoff games, but with the Patriots off this week I am only mildly interested.  I really want to go out and get a small sample can of paint to test in the kitchen so maybe I will put that on the list too.
  • Rock- have fun in Chicago! I've never been, and the 3 US cities I haven't been to but most want to are Chicago, Seattle and Boulder.

Baker- I'm with you on the football. I'm even only mildly interested in football when it's the Pats, so non-Patriots playoffs don't interest me at all.

We are having friends over for dinner on Saturday night, and otherwise we have no firm weekend plans. LO is still young enough that we tend to have a pretty steady stream of visitors for him.

  • i don't really have much planned for the weekend. which is nice for once. i'll probably get some laundry and cleaning done and try to figure how to make my house look less empty now that all the christmas stuff is gone.
    Anniversary
  • No big plans. Unfortunately I have to go to a wake tonight. Sad While deciding on what to wear tonight I realized I lost (and by lost I mean they are probably at my parents' house) my only pair of dress pants, other than the 2 pairs that are part of a suit. So I think I'll be going shopping this weekend. Smile

No plans for me really which I am super excited about.

I was saying to DH how big our formal living room area looks now that the ginormous tree we had is gone!  Next year we really need to get a smaller tree.

  • Do you love Chicago? My sister really does, but it is too cold for her to live there!

I am not sure what we are up to, we may actually go out to dinner (an easy dinner like Outback or something suburban like) since DS actually napped today.

    Errands tomorrow.

And DH has some major issues going on at work. Major. He wants to find another job but the market here sucks. I had suggested he look at Charlotte, but I really don't want to leave Charleston yet. I'd like to stay here until after we have #2 because I want my OB to deliver it Embarrassed

(yes, this makes perfect, rational sense to me in my postpartum frame of mind. I love her that much)

Plus his travel schedule with a new baby is KILLING me.

I actually do really like Chicago.  I've been spending a lot more time there in the past couple of years, partly for work, partly because of my friend's wedding and new baby (showers, bachelorette, stuff like that).  I never knew how many fantastic restaurants they have there, and if that weren't enough there are tons of attractions (Millennium Park, Sears Tower, Architectural Tour), top-notch museums, a famous comedy scene, great public transit, etc.  I could do without the 10%+ sales tax in Chicago proper, but otherwise it's pretty great.

Sorry to hear Mr. Booster's schedule and work is so bad these days.  And I do think it's perfectly rationale to want to stick with a great doctor.  I have now stuck with two doctors that I've really liked and gone so far as to take a vacation day for my annual physicals because I don't care to find someone closer.  A *good* doctor is worth her weight in gold IMHO.

  • This was the one weekend that we had a ton of plans.  We had so many thing we actually had to turn down a few invitations.  Unfortunately with the potential weather tomorrow there were people that were supposed to come into town (from out of state) that decided to stay home to be safe so now we'll just be cleaning the house.

Oh, but on Sunday the guy that may be building our addition if we ever get around to finally doing something is coming over to talk to us about new plans!
