I downloaded the 5-0 Radio app to listen to police feeds and just wanted to make sure that if I'm using my home wireless connection it doesn't count towards my data usage?
Note, I also began using radioio.com to listen to radio sometimes and am curious as to if this is the same thing as the police feed?
Does anyone know? Thanks
Re: Iphone app question
If you are using wi-fi your data will not be used for it.
By the way, I like the 5-0 app! It's interesting to hear what all is going on in the city.
No, radioio is not the same as the 5-0 app. The 5-0 is a police scanner. If you want music you can search Radio in iTunes and several things will come up. Pandora is a common app. for the iPhone and even for going to online.
ETA: Are you asking if using your Wi-Fi will save your data on the radioio app? If so, you don't use your data unless you are not connected to your WiFi.
Yes I was asking if I use either app with wifi whether it will be applied to my data.
I have been listening to both quite a bit and wanted to make sure I wasn't going to be charged a lot of money for going over my plan.
Thanks!
No problem!
If you download the myWireless app from iTunes you can actually view your current data usage etc.
