Re: Friday Five
2. What's guaranteed to make you roll your eyes? When you are work (in a cube setting), and the people around you either laugh loud of sigh or curse because they want you to comment and ask whats so funny or whats wrong. I hate that, and pretend I can't hear them.
3. Would you rather take the picture or be in the picture? Take the picture! That is the reason I have thousands and thousands of pictures on my computerfrom every tiny event. Everyone always knows I have my little camera to document the occasion.
4. Is your family more likely to have pleasant discussions or heated arguments during a big meal? How about heated discussions? Never actual arguments but if it is a hot topic it might get a little fiesty.
5. Plans for the weekend? DH has his first weekend off since June of last year!! (other than holidays and stuff). We might go to Rhode Island to visit some college friends, but if that doesn't pan out we are going to relax and enjoy the weekend. This will probably include going shopping, watching movies, playing video games, a little bit of everything. It definitely includes leaving our blackberrys at home.

2. What's guaranteed to make you roll your eyes? jersey shore, housewives of anywhere, the bachelor(ette), american idol, etc - sorry i can't take those shows.

Is your family more likely to have pleasant discussions or heated arguments during a big meal? depends - if my dad is around def heated arguments... if not my three sisters and i usually have a grand ol' time together and tend to laugh a fair shake... same for w/ the husband - def pleasant discussions!
5. Plans for the weekend? working out w/ trainer, bowling w/ my 2nd job peeps tonight... Saturday - gym, newborn photo shoot, pick up some 2nd hand photo equipment, sell some wedding stuff (finally! lol), show the apt, christmas at DH's aunt's house and no plans for Sunday! YUM! (hmph hm - Patriots clinched the AFC East title so they have a bye this week : ) hehe)

2. What's guaranteed to make you roll your eyes? In general rude uncalled for comments. One of my office mates is known for those.
3. Would you rather take the picture or be in the picture? Take the picture, and now I finally have a camera again. Every so often I get the dumb idea that I want to be in a pictures, and then I see the picture and cringe.
4. Is your family more likely to have pleasant discussions or heated arguments during a big meal? Pleasant discussions. There are sometimes arguments, but never heated.
5. Plans for the weekend? Tonight, the gym, then a friends birthday party. And then free for the weekend I believe.
2. What's guaranteed to make you roll your eyes? People complaining about being fat when they are pregnant. A wife of DH's friend did this over the summer. You're not fat. You're carrying a child! Plus, I think that little extra weight, especially in the face, is so beautiful on a pregnant woman.
3. Would you rather take the picture or be in the picture? Hmm, that's hard. I used to hate having my picture taken but now I'm not against it. I do like taking pictures, but I always feel like I'm missing something by not being in it.
4. Is your family more likely to have pleasant discussions or heated arguments during a big meal? Pleasant disagreements. I grew up in a house where my dad would encourage opinions, but we had to back up what we were saying with a good argument, it was tough sometimes, but fun.
5. Plans for the weekend? Going to MIL's house to visit and see my niece get baptized on Sunday. I feel really bad about the whole thing though b/c the are only doing it for MIL (BIL & SIL are not religious AT ALL) and they lied to the minister at the church about their intentions. I really wish I could get out of it, but I have to play along. I'm going straight to hell.
2. What's guaranteed to make you roll your eyes? DH has this one friend who is the most negative person I ever met. Anytime someone puts up a status, picture or whatnot on FB she makes a nasty comment. Like, you could comment that it's a beautiful day and she'll say yeah, but it's going to rain tomorrow. Except usually nastier! I don't understand why he's friends with this chick. (PS: she was also the only person who gave us crap for getting married on a Sunday... even though she knew it was for religious reasons)
3. Would you rather take the picture or be in the picture? I think be in the picture, as long as I'm having a good hair day.
4. Is your family more likely to have pleasant discussions or heated arguments during a big meal? During the actual big meal? Pleasant discussions. In the days leading up to a big meal? Heated arguments. Happens Every. Single. Time.
5. Plans for the weekend? Umm, actually none now that I think about it! We'll definitely be watching the playoff games, and I may do some shopping.

1. What was the last thing that you broke?
My digital camera. I was due for a new one anyway, because I never really liked it, but recently I dropped it and broke the little door that holds the battery. I can still take pics but only if I hold the door closed with my thumb. Ghetto.

O gosh, pretty much anything. I roll my eyes at every opportunity. It's my favorite non-verbal expression for annoyance! haha

Both...

Pleasant discussions. We are just usually REALLY loud. We're Italian..what can I say? We're yelling even when we're not angry.

Tonight - sushi date with hubby
Saturday - just usual cleaning and errands
Sunday - Visit my uncle in the hospital. He's having hip surgery this morning. Also, I must get to Mass, since I am going to be sponsoring my cousin for her Confirmation next year. I have to get a form filled out saying that I attend Mass regularly, and I've been seriously slacking. So I must go Sunday!!! (and from now on....)

1. What was the last thing that you broke? Apparently the lid to one of my canisters on the kitchen counter, although I have no idea when! I noticed when I went to get flour the other day that it was cracked, and there were shards of plastic inside so I had to chuck the whole thing - filled with flour and all!
2. What's guaranteed to make you roll your eyes? Chicks dressed like skanks in skimpy clothes in not so appropriate places, such as a kids' birthday party or at work.
3. Would you rather take the picture or be in the picture? Be in the picture [as long as my belly is hidden], but I do seem to get stuck taking them a lot!
4. Is your family more likely to have pleasant discussions or heated arguments during a big meal? Which family? LOL! If it's just us, it's pleasant. If SD is with us it's pleasant unless she mouths off to her father. My family (parents and extended) it's always a pleasant discussion. My IL's on the other hand don't know how to have a pleasant discussion without it turning into a heated argument!
5. Plans for the weekend? Pure, unadulterated laziness. Other than the gym it's going to be lots of football, movies and hanging out with the kid.

3. Would you rather take the picture or be in the picture? Hmmm be in it. I feel like I take a lot of pics then there is no evidence that I was there!
4. Is your family more likely to have pleasant discussions or heated arguments during a big meal? More pleasant discussions or discussions in general not always pleasant haha somehow my extended family forgets that ailments aren't pleasant dinner conversation!
5. Plans for the weekend? Tonight I'm supposed to go to my office party then a brainstorming meeting for my volunteer theatre group we'll see what happens w/ the snow. Saturday errands, a bridal shower and cookie baking w/ mom and sister, then Sunday hopefully cooking and relaxing!

3. Would you rather take the picture or be in the picture? Both! I like to take a lot of pics but also like to be in a couple.

I guess my fam (my mother and BIL) have heated discussions pretty often but it's all done out of love and bc they are so opionionated. They actually really love arguing with eachother...it's like watching a debate team! Plus they are both ridiculously smart so it's really interesting to listen to them take different sides. My BIL is known to take the opposing side just for a good convo! Everyone really enjoys it, so it's not like they're fighting.
5. Plans for the weekend? Saturday we're headed back to our old town to visit some friends and get to the bank. Sunday we're interviewing a Doula. Should be lots of fun!

I actually got called a "fat-a$$" yesterday by some stranger while in my car, so this was really wonderful to read!
It was so weird! We were driving in the walmart parking lot and talking about where to go for lunch. I was gesturing towards different restaurants in front, to the side and behind us and evidently this girl who was walking across the street (hubby was driving) thought I was telling her to hurry up.
So she stops in the middle of the street, which is when I first saw her, looks at me, says "fatass" and then sssslllloooowwwwlllllyyyy walks across! We were so taken back and surprised all we could do was laugh! I must really be filling out in the face! I've never had anything like that happen before...it was so weird! I feel bad bc we really weren't being rude to that girl, and so surprised that she would think we were! So then we went to lunch where yes...I ate like a happy, pregnant, fata$$ 
Oh my god, that is awful. People can be so mean sometimes. I can't believe you had to deal with that. At least you could laugh about it because she was so ridiculous.
And I'm happy I could make you feel better.

Tonight: working out, doing some sewing and then going with DH to his store to blow up balloons for an anniversary celebration they are having tomorrow.
Saturday: clean house, sew, work out, take down X-mas decorations, and maybe watch a movie with DH.
Sunday: church, more sewing, Packer Game and work out.

1. What was the last thing that you broke? My finger a couple months ago...slight hammer incident. : (

People that act like they are superior to others or act like they don't watch TV cause it's beneath them or don't eat foods like chocolate or french fries cause it "grosses them out." Those are always the people chowing down on a biggy-size fries and shake whenever they are drunk. Just pompous assholes in general, I guess. : )
3. Would you rather take the picture or be in the picture? I am so paranoid about how I look in pictures, so take at the moment.

1. What was the last thing that you broke? Gee, now that I think about it, I haven't broken anything for a long time now...guess I'm overdue!
2. What's guaranteed to make you roll your eyes? Along the lines of an earlier answer, folks who post FB statuses that are clearly begging for attention: "disgusted", "depressed", "feel like crying"...and so on. Either spit it out and get support or keep it to yourself.
3. Would you rather take the picture or be in the picture? Hands down, be in the picture...but only on my "skinny tummy" days!
4. Is your family more likely to have pleasant discussions or heated arguments during a big meal? Pleasant discussions...my family is so spread out, that it's usually one big love fest when we all manage to get together for a meal.
5. Plans for the weekend? Um...let's see: Return Christmas gifts tomorrow morning, drop in and see H's Dad...and then, in order: Colts/Jets, Hawks/Saints...prep dinner for Sunday, grab some refreshing sleep, and then on Sunday...Ravens/Chiefs (Go Ravens!!!) and then Packers/Eagles. Hopefully I'll have a happy outcome by them time it's all over Sunday night :-))
