I am trying to figure out how to make a website that I created in Dreamweaver (last semester of college) live. It's a slow day at work and I'm waiting for an afternoon meeting, so I am researching it
The thing is, I got hardly any sleep last night because it was DH's night off and he made tons of noise. I have had as much coffee today as I normally would in a week! I don't drink it very often... so I'm all fidgety. Plus, my eye is twitching, ![]()
I am getting excited learning about how to do this, though. I actually think that I might be able to handle this!
I definitely have more to learn, and it's hard to think it all the way through since I don't have Dreamweaver here in front of me. Just thought I would share. Wish me luck!
Anyone else have a project/anything interesting going on?
Re: Thursday: Coffee and Project
I'm working on tons of lesson plans for my students...though I think they'll probably just stare blankly at me so that's not very fun. Oh the joys of high school seniors.
Other than that, I'm thinking about maybe doing a little decorating around the house. And drinking tons of coffee, like you!
my read shelf:
My grad classes don't start until the 24th, so right now I am
1. finishing a baby blanket for a friend
2. stitching 2 baby announcements for 2 other friends
3. writing a winterguard show
4. cleaning the house from christmas and re-organizing the closet
5. learning how to use Photoshop elements 9
Yep, I am a busy beaver! Have to do SOMETHING while school is out, and while I am waiting to hear on 4-5 jobs I applied for....
I'm actually working on creating/designing 2 sets of wedding invitations. One for a girl here at work and another for a girl in CT. I'm pretty pumped about it and am having lots of fun making them.
Most of my arts and crafs projects are currently on hold. I just got my list of lectures for the spring (I teach grad students)... and I have til Feb 11 to write the course notes for 11 lectures, and then the lectures begin in March! I am excited!
My project this spring will be making roman shades for our house. Hopefully they will turn out like this, and be top up/bottom down: http://www.terrelldesigns.com/Galleries/Top-Down-Shades/Pink-Hobbled-Top-Down-Shades
We have a craft room at work (promotes wellness?), complete with sewing machines- so I think I am going to take full advantage of that.
Ooooh, sounds like you girls have some cool stuff going on.
Nicole, I need to work on decorating our apartment. It looks a little drab since the Christmas stuff has been put away.
Steph, the stitched baby announcements sound adorable. You should PIP so we can see the finished product!
Same with the wedding invitations, Lauren!
Ellen, my best friend's mom stitched curtains just like that, but green. I like that they block a lot of light when they are all the way unfolded. They're cozy and private. Good luck!
I will!! I'm hoping to start getting a little more side business doing this. Nothing major - I'm not a graphic designer by any means - but I enjoy making them.
