Lunch Hours

If you get a lunch hour at work, what do you during it? How long do you get and do you typicially use it.

I get an hour and usually don't use it, however I check the computer here and there during the day so it all adds up.

Today I'm Nesting, if you can't tell. Usually my CWs and I eat lunch together. I haven't been feeling all that hungry (or social) this week, so I've been eating at my desk.

We are 12-15 minutes outside of town, so I typically don't run errands or got out to lunch. It takes too much time and with gas prices, I don't want to waste gas.

I get an hour lunch. I usually eat my lunch ay my desk and cruise the internet. If I don't have lunch with me I go out, but it's usually to the grocery store down the street. Sometimes if I really need to get out of the office I wander around Target. There's a room a lot of people eat lunch in, but because I don't really have anything in common with most of my coworkers, I don't eat in there. It's awkward to eat your lunch in silence when everyone is having a conversation around you.

I get an hour and I have to use it because I'm an hourly employee. That said, I'm usually about 5-20 minutes late for work, so I shorten my lunch hour each day accordingly. Ha.

I typically eat at my desk and spend my time internetting. I'm anti-social and avoid my coworkers. Hehe. Sometimes I walk to the bank or bookstore.

In the summer I go out more, sometimes just to go for a walk. I also like to take my lunch and a book out to Rosa Parks Circle if the weather is nice.

I take a half hour lunch. I usually bring my food from home, just eat at my desk and spend the time on the internet, or go for a walk downtown. When I came back after maternity leave, I started using my lunch to pump, but I'll be cutting that out here soon, and going back to my internet surfing. :-)
