**Kahtie/Other green monster drinkers**
Please tell me more about green monster drinks. What fruits/veggies do you like to make them with? Does anyone use a magic bullet to mix them up or do you think that would work? TIA!
Re: **Kahtie/Other green monster drinkers**
I have to chime in because I LOVE green monsters!
My favorite is:
2-3 cups spinach
1-1.5 cups any kind of milk, I like almond
1 banana
1/2 cup bluberries
a few cubes of ice.
I also like to use strawberries, raspberries, pineapple. I use any kind of fruit I have on hand. Sometimes I put some amazing meal in it, it's just a protien powder and it keeps me fuller during the morning.

We juice daily. We have a juicer we bought a few years back. We typically mix it up with any of the following:
Carrots
Oranges
Apples
Celery
Beets
Ginger
Pineapple
Cucumber
Brocolli
Sometimes we will make it more fruity, other times more grainy. It kind of depends on our mood. We also put green vibrance in it just for an extra boost.
I'm also a lover of Green Monster's!! I use the following in mine:
2 cups spinach, 1 frozen banana, 1 - 1/2 cup(s) almond milk, and ice. Somtimes I'll add either sunflower butter or almond butter (2T) for additional protein. Normally I use a blender because I've found that the bullet doesn't really process the spinach that well and I'm not a fan of "chunky" drinks.

?
Mmmm, I love my Green Monsters!
I got my basic recipe (Virgin Green Monster) from this site: http://greenmonstermovement.com/. There are a ton of recipes on there so you can look through and see which ones you might want to try.
If you have a Sam's Club near you, I went there and bought a big bag of ground flax seed. It was a good deal and I put it in a lot of other things besides the GM.
My favorite combo so far is PB & banana, using natural PB. Like pp mentioned, you can also use almond butter or any other kind of "butter" you like.
I also have a giant bag of frozen blueberries that I add from time to time (also bought at Sams Club).
My tip to you is to freeze your fruit to make the GM thicker. In the evening I peel the banana, break it into a few pieces, and put it into a small container to freeze so it's ready for breakfast. If I don't do this the GM is kinda thin, even with ice.
Right now I use skim milk, but I'd like to buy vanilla soy milk and see how that effects the flavor. Pretty much I add anything that sounds good. You can't taste the spinach flavor at all, so I think along the lines of what I would like in a normal smoothie.
Have fun testing them out!
Thanks everyone for your tips and suggestions!
***Kahtie: I can't wait to try some peanut butter in mine! That sounds awesome. I also was thinking about using choc soy milk b/c I love anything with choc and pb!! Thanks for telling me why I should freeze the fruit, too
Wish I could try all the suggestions of almond milk and butter but I'm allergic to tree nuts, so I'll have to stick to soy and peanut butter
I love choc and pb too... let me know how that works and I might be choc soy milk instead of vanilla! I've also heard good things about the choc flavored Amazing Meal that Meghan mentioned. The protein is supposed to keep you pretty full too, so eventually I'd like to test it out as well.
