What are you listening to these days? I need suggestions.
I was gifted with some iTunes money, and I have no idea what to spend it on! I peruse the iTunes top 100, and I don't seem to like any of it. I'd like to find something new, but Genius isn't suggesting anything that I want to spend money on. I need help!
Generally, I'm a Coldplay, Collective Soul, Dave Matthews, Matt Kearney, Counting Crows, Howie Day kind of person.
But I also like hip hop or anything with a good beat that I can use while working out.
What have you purchased lately?
Re: What are you listening to these days? I need suggestions.
I just got a ton of CDs:
Astro Coast
Cee-Lo
Best Coast
Jenny and Johnny
Ray LaMontagne
The Black Keys
And before that I was listening to these a lot:
The Like - Release Me
Arcade Fire - The Suburbs
Fleet Foxes - Fleet Foxes
Tea Time for Lulu
I've been using my GCs to buy techno music, which I typically don't like to spend a ton of money on because I tend to get sick of it after.
I've been actively listening to Pandora and buying new songs I've heard off that. It's been great!
Recently downloaded:
Robyn (has some hip hop influence, but is mostly Sweed-Pop)
Kaskade (LOVE his remixes - good for work outs.)
Misery - Maroon 5
The TRON Legacy soundtrack (Daft Punk)
Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Lykke Li
Lily Allen
If you like Coldplay, etc, check out Matt Nathanson, The Script, Train, Friendly Fires, MuteMath, and Muse.

Awesome, thanks ladies!
My Pandora has been playing Ray LaMontagne lately, and I do like his stuff.
It's also been playing a lot of stuff that I'm also hearing on the radio, and that stuff I tend to get sick of more quickly (like The Script...I definitely liked it at first, but now it's so overplayed that I don't want to purchase, you know?).
Anyway, you've all listed some stuff that I have to go check out! Yay for a slow day at work!
I played Kanye West's 808 & Heartbreaks constantly when it first came out. I'm still trying to get into his latest ("My Dark Twisted Fantasy", I think?) but it's pretty good. Also, I've been enjoying Nicki Minaj lately.. but she really makes me wish Missy Elliott would come out w/something new!
Mumford & Son's "Little Lion Man" and Florence and the Machine's "Dog Days Are Over" are two singles that I am LOVING. I don't know how their albums are but I may have to buy them b/c I love the singles so damn much.

This one gets stuck in my head a lot!
This is exactly what I was going to say!!! Florence + The Machine's "Kiss With a Fist" is awesome, too.
We LOVE Ray LaMontagne and have most of his CDs. Along the same lines we like Amos Lee and Blind Pilot.
I am also obsessed with Glee songs, GREAT for working out!
