The Prep Kitchen in Freeport is going to host a candy-making class. Wendy, the owner is trying to decide between two dates and times. They are Saturday, 2/5 from 4-6 PM, or Wednesday, 2/9 from 6-8 PM. My preference would be for the Saturday class.
It would be in time for Valentine's Day in case anyone wanted to make these items for their sweeties. We would learn how to make needhams, peanut butter cups and peanut brittle in addition to other things, and would be able to take samples and recipes home with us.
Is anyone else interested in doing this as a GTG? If others are interested, I can email Wendy and let her know which date would be best for us. Can anyone who is interested let me know their date preference by noon on Monday, 2/10? it doesn't commit you to anything, but does help her decide which date would be best attended.

Re: Candy Making GTG?
I just heard back from Wendy and cost would be somewhere in the $20 range, depending upon which recipes she settles on and the cost of ingredients.
I will let her know that several of us are interested in the Saturday class.
$20 is completely do-able! Sweet! (literally and figuratively)
I may be able to come, but I'd have to have Adrian with me.
He loves 'helping' in the kitchen though. That's what we do when he's fussy-cook or bake.
You would actually need to call and make sure that is OK. I know that she has allowed very young babies in the past, but I am not sure what her age limit is. I know that she can't have small children in there for liability reasons.
