hair dye brand recs?

Ok, I think I'm taking the plunge this weekend. I'm getting a flat-out TUFT of grey hair a la Stacy London, minus any hope of making it fashionable. And since I've been waffling about dying it for just about ever, I figure it's time. I'm going to go just a couple of shades darker. Any one have suggestions as far as a brand to use (or avoid)?

  • I like nice n easy by Clairol. They have a conditioner that comes with it that makes your hair feel nice and soft. There was a specific color I liked, but I can't remember which.
  • I use Dark Brown, Clairol Perfect 10. I have to do my roots about every 4 weeks because the gray starts showing up again but I find that this one is the best color match for me. My hair tends to turn red really easy and this just makes it a rich dark brown, which is what I want.

  • I use feria usually, I'm not 100% sure on the color, it's been a while.  I want to say its like dark ash brown.. I try to stay away from anything with red undertones because it makes my hair WAY red.

  • I use Clairol Natural Instincts. The P&G brandsaver coupon insert always has good coupons, so I rarely pay more than $5 for a box. I reapply every month to keep the gray at a minimum. It covers great, and it easy to use.

In the summer I use "suede" and in the winter I use "nutmeg"
