I'm still crazy drained from the bug, but haven't gotten sick in a day...wicked headache and no amount of water or gatorade is helping...or tylenol. UGH!!!

Eric went down to the brewery to talk to the guys and hang out a bit - he's looking into contract brewing a commercial batch there, so he wanted to bring a sample of his latest cream ale and talk numbers.
He invited me to go and I love those guys, but I'm exhausted and feel like I might be fighting something off, so I opted to stay home.

Thanks, me too. If I don't get enough sleep, my immunity nosedives, and I haven't been getting enough sleep, I know it.
At least we got some stuff done today first - I worked this morning and then while they were installing my remote starter (yay!) we did some foodshopping and got some stuff to the cleaners.
And I decided to really buckle down on this getting healthy thing. We bought chicken for dinner tonight and I got some eggplant & carrots & rice cakes to start myself off.

I'm hanging around the house today, we went to dig out this morning and that's about it.
We ended up with about a foot of snow, we were suppose to get another round but it looks like it's not coming
So now I'm knitting and getting ready to make a pot of chili for dinner.

I'm here, but I'm at work. Not sure how long I'm here -- I'm here until boss lady says I can leave, which I'm guessing will be around 6.
I feel totally broken. The dumb cold that I think I am finally starting to get over just keeps hitting is weird ways. I think that taking so much Sudafed has given me GI issues, and I'm just tired all of the time. And coughing every time I walk anywhere certainly isn't fun.
I hope you both get better, or don't get sick at all. This time of year just kind of sucks for that.
I'll have to ask Eric how it's different in practical terms when he comes home, but it's a much creamier, smoother texture than regular ales. Most of the cream ales I've had have been carbonated with nitrogen instead of carbon dioxide, for smaller bubbles and an even smoother texture, but this one's CO2.
It's REALLY yummy. Not ready yet, so it's still pretty sweet since the yeast hasn't eaten all the sugars. I know he used maize in it. I think it may turn out to be one of my favorites, though I'm a huge fan of his chocolate stout.
The brewery owner has (obviously) a really good palate, so be brought some to get his opinion too, even though it's not done. It's the kind of thing these guys can taste and know if it's going to turn out good later.

Just finished cleaning the bathroom. It was the dreaded clean the jetted tub tonight. Oh what fun!
I'm planning on catching The Craigs List Killer on Lifetime later tonight and dvring The Suze Orman show and Til Debt Do Us Part. Yes, I have a WILD Saturday night going here!
