I'm still going to take a trip to a local carpet store and look at their selection, but what are your thoughts on this rug. Honestly, don't hold back!

Hum its not my style it might be too bold for an area rug as it would draw your eyes right to it.. But with that saying I don't know what your decor is so it might look good

I think the color is good. It's the black squares that I think will throw it off with the bedding in the room.

I think I'd like it more if there were a few more black squares. 2 just seems so minimal and random.

I agree that something about the two dark squares doesn't seem quite right. I dont know if it's cause there are too many, or not enough. It's also just NMS. So I really don't know how much help I am.

I was hoping that I could hide the black squares underneath the bed. But, upon further inspection of where they are and how I think I'm going to put it in the room, they won't be hidden. Back to the drawing board.

How big of a rug are you looking for? Do you like the geometric stuff or something more organic? Do you want one solid color or are you open to having multiple colors in a pattern?

Well, the room is 10x12, so I think a 5x7 is probably good sized, right? The furniture has squares carved in it, so something round would probably look weird wouldn't it? As far as color, I'm fine either way. I was just thinking of using a royal blue or red to please Drew's love for the Cubs without being overkill. I told him that I'd do it in a classy, understated way as long as the room didn't scream "I'm a sports room".

It depends on your decor. If you have dark hardwoods and dark furniture, I think it will go well by giving a pop of a bold color and not necessarily another "dark" color. But if you have light to medium flooring and light to medium colored furniture, I think it may be too much. I like it, though...but red is my favorite color
