my Saturday confession

I was getting dressed this morning, and decided to wear my cuddle dud type long undies since it was going to be cold. Well they were kind of bunched up after I put on my jeans so I went to squat to stretch things out, and rrrrrrrriiiiiiiip!

I split my jeans in the back. I was mortified b/c Brian was in the room, bummed b/c they were my fave LOFT jeans, and then I just laughed b/c there was nothing else to do. I've added them to my sewing pile and will upcycle them into something with my sewing machine.

Re: my Saturday confession

  • :) I'm sorry, but this is just what I needed today! I can picture this happening in my head, and had to laugh! I feel so sorry about your loft jeans though - I would cry if that happened to my loft jeans! I hope you can sew them up good as new! :)

  • Oh, they won't be wearable again. But I will use the denim for some zipper pouches or baby bibs.
  • Oh man, that sucks. It is always sad to lose your favorite jeans, but so cool you can recycle them.

Ditto, Heather. It always seems to be the favorite pair that this happens to. It's a good thing you have great sewing skills though and can upcycle them.

  • Haha, oh no!!! That's sucky, but at least you are able to up-cycle them instead of just throwing them out like the rest of us Stick out tongue

I don't let myself get attached to jeans anymore .... somehow I always seems to quickly wear them out.
