Fit friday

I'm late sorry! So how did everyone do this week? Ant losers? Even if you aren't a loser this week, next week will be better! This week's question... What's your fav low cal/ healthy dessert? I worked out 4 days this week. Its my first week back since being sick. Today was my first hit of cardio and it landed me into a coughing fit so I'll wait another week before trying again. My eating sucked as I'm pms city and don't care! Oh well!

Re: Fit friday

  • I only worked out 3 days because I've still been fighting off being sick (and one day I was tired from being up from watching the OSU game, lol). I would say my favorite low cal dessert would be the skinny cow sandwiches. Don't know how low cal they are but at least not a ice cream sundaes ;)

  • I don't think I lost any weight this week but that isn't my number one goal right now.  I have to run today to get in my final workout of the week.  So far, so good on the running - see post below.

As far as low calorie desserts - DH makes a vanilla bean shortbread cookie that is really good.  I also love Greek yogurt with a small amount of granola on top.

  • I haven't started working out yet but my eating was really good!  With the exception of last night.  I ate a loaf of bread I think.  Fresh bread is my #1 weakness.  Only lost a half of pound and I'm a little disappointed but hopefully next week will be better.

For a low cal desert - fresh fruit is usually my choice.

  • Old, married hag partaking here cause I'm bored and perusing the boards...;)

I was anti exercise this week- I did it all through Christmas and NYE and promptly took a week off.

As for my favourite low cal dessert- if I am eating dessert, I want something decadent and will indulge but if I'm going with healthy I will have the odd homemade protein pop (chocolate) made with soy milk and berries or I'll make an espresso granita.

  • I worked out 6 days this week. Sun-Weds then Fri-Sat. Only about 30-45 mins each time.

My eating was okay. It could have been better for sure. :)

I'm a huge fan of frozen yogurt (fat free or practically). You can eat a decent amount for lower calories. Other than that, I will sometimes make cookies. But I'll only cook enough for that moment (so say 2 for me and 4 for DH)... otherwise I'll eat them all.

Low cal... I love fruit with a little bit of cool whip.
