Our videographers told us when we booked that it would be 12 weeks to get the video back. I understand that they have regular 9-5 jobs other than this, and that the husband of the duo just lost his father a few weeks before the holidays, plus we've had the holidays to contend with, but it's been 3 months and I want my flippin' video. What time lines did your videographers give you ladies? Am I pouting for nothing?
Re: Videographer time lines
My videographer gave me a 3 month time line (which would be Jan 9 (tomorrow, I just realized!). I'll give him an extra week, but if I don't have it by friday I'll definitely be following up with him.
Have you contacted your videographer? When was your wedding date?

Our friend is a videoographer (budding film maker!) and shot our wedding as his gift to us...he has a lot of other work going on and intitially gave us a mid-Feb date to receive the finished product. (Which shocked me, I was thinking a lot sooner than that!!) We got a minute and a half teaser last week, but I really want to see the entire thing!! I think other people once said March for their videos, so I don't really know what the standard time is.
We were told 4-6 months on our video. This means the latest at the end of April. I think though you are entitled to following up if you were told a time that has already passed.
ETA: Some videographers utlize images from the photographers in the video, if yours does something similar that may be part of the reason for the hold up.
I'm trying to talk to DH on the phone at the same time that I'm typing this, so if it doesn't make sense, I apologize.
We got married on 10.2.10, and according to the contract, it was supposed to take 12 weeks (3 months, unless I suck that bad at math), which would have been a week ago. I've checked in off and on, but there have been some glitches in the road - like the father passing away, the holidays, etc. I know I'm probably being impatient, but I'm sick of looking through wedding photos and would like to see the video, especially since I've heard some stories of things I didn't see during the wedding (like our ringbearer - age 4 - with his hand down his pants while standing at the altar, trying to get his little shirt tucked back in so we wouldn't be "mad").
