H went to Rochester to pick up our mattress from his parents basement. He picked up the UHaul, went there, then came back here so we could load it up with all our crap, er, wedding gifts. But he put the mattress/boxspring in there bare, no coverings or anything. And the whole UHaul smells like sour milk/maybe a dead body. I'm reallllly hoping the mattress doesn't take this smell on. Or any of our other stuff for that matter.
I seriously hate moving. And his Dad is driving my car down, which I'm grateful for, but that means he's crashing with us our first night there and is going to be hovering awkwardly while I try to start to clean and unpack.
And there's supposed to be a storm going on tomorrow that we're going to have to drive though. And the sleeting and half inch of ice supposed to accumulate in Decatur the day we arrive. And the snow they already have.
And Mittens is freaking out. She knows something's up. She peed on the carpet and has been running around like a mad woman, with her tail all puffed up.
Sorry I'm a complainy pants. Just needed to vent. At least I won the electric griddle and golf club argument. And at least it's all going to FIT.
Re: In case you were wondering, I still hate moving.
Moving SUCKS, and you have a right to complain. I hope this is your last move for a while, and the weather isn't too terrible/treacherous.
Mittens freaking out reminded me of the Hyperbole and a Half where Allie and her bf moved and their dogs freaked out: http://hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.com/2010/11/dogs-dont-understand-basic-concepts.html
I'm sure you've already seen it, but thought you might need a laugh.
Hang in there!

omg you're moving on probably the worst weekend! They're calling for snow and ice tonight/tomorrow and UGA is already talking about closing tomorrow (the first day back for the semester). Not that the weather is really going to be that bad, but the entire city shuts down and no one can drive in it. Since you all are used to winter weather you shouldn't have a problem, but it's the other idiots. And good luck grocery shopping when you move in. DH and I went yesterday since it was our first full day back from the honeymoon and boy was that a mistake. They were out of milk and bread! lol.
BTW, I hate moving too. I feel your pain.
ha! this reminds me of my rant about the blue hairs and snow in my blog last year!
it's that time of year again!!!!!!!!
i also hate moving. hope its over soon for you!!
This just reminded me I have to go to the store...and they're calling for snow! Crap. In good news, I don't need milk, TP or bread.
