Does anyone else still have boxes of wedding stuff around?

I have all my centerpieces, and tons of bubbles and take home thingies, and left over ribbons, and crap everywhere.  I live with my husband in our 18 wheeler right now so its not in my way but it's just stacked in our bedroom at my parents house right now.  We don't have our own house, so I don't really have a bunch of options, I'm considering selling the left over take homes on ebay.

Re: Does anyone else still have boxes of wedding stuff around?

  • Yes!  Right after the wedding I sold some things and shipped them out, but I'm still stuck with a lot of stuff and haven't bothered to try to put up more ads or sell it.  I just don't have the time, it's really terrible.

  • I have 1 paper box full of random crap, a rubbermaid full of candles, and then I box full of keepsake stuff. I sent out an email to get rid o the candles & random stuff last night, if they don't want it, I'm taking it all to the goodwill this weekend!

  • Not really.  I have one box of stuff.  But we moved 2 months after the wedding so we streamlined so we did not have to move stuff.

  • I have the extra programs and the table numbers and extra place cards.  I also kept my response cards.  I have vases at my mom's.

  • Yes. All the centerpiece stuff and all our gifts are boxed up since we haven't moved it to storage yet. Le sigh.

  • I just got my dress back from getting it preserved and realized exactly how much wedding stuff I have left.  I have one big cardboard box and one with all of the left over invitation items.  No clue what I am going to do with it all.

  • I have so many of those darn cylinder glass vases.  You know how tempting it is to be bad and return them to Michaels?  DH won't let me, not that I really would be able to go through with it.  It's just tempting, especially since when we returned some non-used stuff the cashier was pretty much trying to talk us INTO returning the used stuff, saying that people do it all the time.  It'll probably eventually just find it's way to Goodwill.
