Did you buy those Hawaii plane tickets from American Airlines yet???
And don't lie, because I saw you over on the Travel board talking about them... 
I'm SO glad I saw that post. I had no idea it applied to Honolulu and Kona as well, or that the fares were THAT low.
We just put an itinerary on hold...for March. Provided we get the OK from our bosses, we're actually going to get to visit our friends who live there (and get to use our travel bank account!).

I have not booked them.
I may still do it, though. I have some tickets on hold, and I may put some more on hold too, just to continue to save the prices. (I love that hold feature!)
Hope you get okays from your bosses today! I know you've been wanting to get back there to see your friends.
That hold option is the most awesome thing ever. I'm so glad I know about it now. I wish all of the airfare sites had that feature!
My boss doesn't work on Fridays but usually checks work email from home every so often. She hasn't responded yet and I'm getting antsy. If she doesn't get back to me I am considering just booking it. Would that be bad?

I hope your boss checks in soon! Without knowing your boss, it's hard for me to say if it would be appropriate for you to book it without her blessing. For my boss, it would be fine to do so, but I know some bosses are more difficult.
I think if I were to just book the flights, B would probably be okay. But I want to talk to him about how many days and which dates, and when I did that he got all weird. So, I don't know.
I did have a mini-meltdown about something completely unrelated this morning and now he's being super nice to me. So this may be the day to readdress the issue.
KerCo, the dates are wide ranging for this sale. Chymes is going in March, my coworker is going in August, and I'm looking at October. They're all at $450-$500/rt (including taxes/fees) right now. These prices are for flights into Oahu, Maui, and the Big Island.
The catch is that you have to fly out of Chicago.
The prices are only available on aa.com. And they have a nice feature where you can select flights and "hold" the itinerary/prices for 24 hours (or more) without purchasing.
The sale started last Wednesday-ish, so I don't know how much longer it's going to last.
Wow, what a deal. I wish I could travel to HI in the next few months or year, but it isn't really doable for us right now. Rats. Someday I'll make it there.

I think the sale may be over. Did you check today? When I checked on my dates this morning, the prices were up $200/per person. I have some on hold from yesterday though.
That just means you'll have to buy the ones you have on hold tonight!
We're not going.
B doesn't want to go on vacation and I don't want to book tickets without him on board. So that's that.
