Crafty ladies & a random ?
First the random? Did anyone else receive a Nest magazine in the mail? I got one Wednesday and thought it was so weird. I know we were supposed to get one when we first go married but its been a year and a half. Just wondering.
Now for the craft ? My aunt got Ayden an ornament and when we got it, the wrong date was on it. I called the company and they sent out a new one and said we could keep the wrong one too. I'm trying to figure out how to get the wrong date off. I was thinking nail polish remover with acetone? It's a nice ornament and I'd like to keep it. Any other suggestions? Here's a picture, I think it is just a paint pen.

Re: Crafty ladies & a random ?
I would ask on the Craft board. They've got the craziest tricks/tips over there. I thought I was crafty until I started seeing their posts/reading their blogs. Woah.
As for The Nest magazine, nope, never got mine. I wanted one too -- I don't think they have it in stores, and I don't see how you can subscribe to it. It seems like this site might actually have more to offer than the message boards, but everything else is soooooo sloooooow and impossible to read/find so I never do! I think I'd like the magazine. (Then again, maybe I should just subscribe to Real Simple...)
Don't. I've noticed them becoming more and more clique-y. I posted that I got a new sewing machine for Christmas and wanted some tips for good basic starter projects -- I got one response and almost 90 views. I've also noticed lots of people post pics of projects and such, and only the "regulars" get lots of comments. Everyone else usually gets one or two "oh, that's cute."
*shrug* I would've just offered help myself, but I really have no idea how paint pens work on ornaments.
Off the top of my head, I would try:
nail polish remover
rubbing alcohol
windex
erasable marker (scribble over the writing and then wipe it off--this works for permanent marker on marker boards, so it may work for paint pen).
But as a caveat--I don't know if any of these will etch the glass.
