Give me referrals please! My girlfriend is in need of an awesome RE specialist. She has breast cancer, and only has a few months to retrieve some eggs before she has to start chemo. Recommendations please!
Re: IVF and other RE girls
I saw Dr. Carol Wheeler with Women & Infants Center for Reproduction & Infertility, but mine was due to recurrent miscarriages. While she rubbed me and my DH the wrong way at our initial meeting, she definitely grew on us and seemed genuinely excited after we conceived DD#2. 401-453-7500, website is here.
Good luck to your friend! (and yes RE is correct).
I see Dr. Kelly Pagidas at Women and Infants Center for Reproduction and Infertility at the number Kristen posted above.
We (obviously) are very happy with her. She let us go at our own pace (we did three IUI's before the IVF) and she was very nice.
I've heard great things about Dr. Pagidas. Stay away from Dr. Bhagavath (also @ W&I); he was very dismissive of me. He basically told me to lose weight & I'd get pregnant. No testing. Got a 2nd opinion & a dx of PCOS with IR. Jerk.
Anyways, my current RE is Dr. Devi-Wold. She used to be @ RSC but recently opened up her own practice with a couple of other docs. She's very personable, her staff is great & she went through IVF herself.

Ditto with Dr Devi Wold!!
