We're both staying home today. My work's emergency systemcalled and DH's boss called him @ midnight to say we havea Snow Day! We're going to walk outside soon and take some pics.

My office is open but I won't be going in. DH actually tried to shovel our 50+ foot driveway last night. He put salt down too. Its all covered now.

DH's office said they are open for business so DH insisted he had to go. I was so annoyed and pleaded with him as the car trudged down the street until he finally came back home. He was the one calling coworkers to tell them it was fine to go in. Finally, his boss was smart enough to say "no, just stay home." Sometimes, I just don't get dh!

Mine's closed. I could technically still work, but I'm not. I might log in later to do some stuff. I really hope it will be better tomorrow. We need the days in the office to get as much info as possible from my boss. His last day is next Tues! ACK!

School was canceled, and the road to DH office is impassable in weather like this. The hills near Emory are treacherous! Crossing my fingers that I'll have tomorrow off too, but I'm not gonna be greedy. We have friends that were supposed to fly out to AZ to go to the championship game, and they ended up having to spend the night in the airport, but were able to get on a flight this morning. I have to say, I give the serious side-eye to people that are out driving in this mess.

Yay for a snow day!! I wasn't supposed to go to work until 3 today, but I called this morning and the store is closed for the day. DH is a flight instructor, so it's a no brainer that he is home today too. We had fun playing with the dog in the snow this morning, he had no idea where to pee.

My office is most likely open for whoever could get there. DH is considered essential personnel at his so he has to go in this afternoon. I'm wishing he wasn't though. I'm nervous for his drive to work and home tonight.

I am so jealous of the snow day! It's 80 here . DH almost went into work last night b/c they request assitance from all employees in weather like this since he works for a major news outlet. Glad he didn't he would not have gotten home for sure.

Our neighbor had a heart attack this morning and somehow the ambulance made it in the neighborhood, but even after DH and my dad's furious snow shoveling, the EMT's got stuck and had to be towed out of the neighborhood...

The snow is pretty and it's fun to have DH home for the day, but the possibility of my first classes tomorrow getting canceled is stressing me out. Actually, what stresses me out the most is the thought of UGA not canceling tomorrow, and me having to try to drive in through the ice first thing in the morning.... I can't miss my first day!! I told my DH to stay home too, but he insisted that he needed to go in and that he would be okay. Not even 10 minutes after he left, he called to tell me he was stuck in snow...I don't get him either!

We didn't get any snow, just close to an inch of sleet that froze, making everything icy and nasty.
