Words that make you cringe?
I'm sure we all have a word, or words, that we absolutely hate!
Mine is "hump", used as a verb.
What's your word?

Ain't
I hate this word and my BFF's fiance is from the country and uses it all the time. Sometimes, I hate living in the south.
So funny you posted this!! I was going to do a fave/least fave word post a few days ago and forgot!! haha.
I HATE when I see or hear "soups." ACK!! I don't know what it is about it, but it makes me CRINGE!
scarf.
not sure why
"fun bags" as a phrase for breasts. Hate it, hate it, hate it.
On the other hand, I *adore* "sleeping policemen" as a phrase for speed-bump. I heard this for the first time in the UK a few years ago and made me giggle.
Aww - I'm from a long line of hicks and good ol' boys, so the word "Ain't" has a soft spot in my heart. lol
Funny story... When my little cousin Amy was in grade school and they were learning that "Ain't" isn't a proper word (yes, in Oklahoma that lesson is a must. lol) she caught me saying it one day. She was probably around 7 and I was 12 or so. She said, "Tishy! You ain't 'posed to say ain't!" LOL Translated to "Dear Cousin Tisha, you are not supposed to say the word ain't." LOL
Words that get to me are things like moist and wet and juicy.
Missing our little turkey.

This!
Ewwww, this was my answer too. I also hate "ointment" too though, so I think maybe it's just the "oi" sound that gets me.

When people say DA instead of THE, it absolutely kills me! It makes them sound so uneducated. I especially hate it what people type it. It's only one less letter!
On the other hand, I absolutely love it when Anthony calls having sex "Making Humpies." It's cute. Of course, if he said Let's hump, that wouldn't be so cute lol
Pus. It sounds gross, it is gross, ew.
Succulent...makes me quiver. It is even worse when you put it in a sentence along with "Moist." Gross!!
I hate it when the officers at work write "seen" instead of "saw" that makes me crazy!!! "I seen him turn left and not use a turn signal."
Vomit and carcass. I don't know why but they are like nails on a chalkboard to me.
Moist is such a dirty word... lol
I dislike "moist" and "ointment" as well. They make me shiver.
Another word I dislike is "panties." I have to say it without the "t" (pannies).
It drives me nuts when people add an "s" to an already-plural word!
Did you see those deers?
I'd love to eat some corns.
One deer is the same as eleven hundred deer. Same goes for seventeen corn, dummies!
