New deli and bakery in Auburn
It's called Pastiche, located in Great Falls Plaza. They have Cupcakes, homemade soups, etc.
I haven't tried it yet-- just saw an ad in one of the little Lewiston paper's. Just FYI...

Oh you can't say "it's a little weird" and then not elaborate! LOL
How was it weird?
Well, they call themselves a "Cupcakes and Wine Deli," which are three things that don't really go together in my mind. They have all kinds of gourmet items, which is cool, but then they have this real deli-type of deli. And the people kind of ignore you when you go in, like they are really busy, but I was the only person in there. It is sort-of like they want to be Austin's, but just don't quite have what it takes. It's all just a bit off.
Like I said, I haven't bought anything there so I can't say how the food is. It may be spectacular. These are just my passing through observations.
Hmmmm.... sounds like they're trying to be too many things at once.
I have no idea what Austin's was, so I can't compare. I do miss having a tone of delis around, though...
