XP: useful/favorite shower favor?
-->
I'm helping to plan a bridal shower (for my SIL-to-be), and I'm we're trying to figure out something for favors. Since I'm the oldest and have the most useless shower favors (they are all pretty young - early 20's), I was trying to think of something more useful for a favor.
I was thinking food (but then again, I guess I'm always thinking food!), like maybe some M&Ms in their colors wrapped like jordan almonds sometimes are, or Hershey Bars with one of those special wrappers.
Any ideas?
Re: XP: useful/favorite shower favor?
I made these for my sisters baby shower, you could easily just change the sticker to the brides color scheme and put matching M&M's inside:

Aloha!
I had a bridal shower for a good friend a yr ago and instead of a food favor, my husband and I made marble magnets. My husband created the circle template for me with the name of the couple and their wedding date in several different colors. We asked those who attended to put these on their refrigerators and whenever they saw it to say a prayer for the couple that they would have a wonderful wedding day and marriage. It was a hit! Everyone loved them and the favor is still talked about today.
Here's a tutorial. It's really simple to do to : http://www.notmartha.org/tomake/marblemagnets/
Here is an idea of a shower magnet that you can make. Ours looked like this first link (we had the first names of the couple, ie: Kim and Richard), but had the wedding date at the bottom under the name and we had different background colors. We packaged the magnets in tiny ziplock bags that fit the magnet perfectly. Found those in a craft store: http://beadbug00.blogspot.com/2008/01/marble-magnets.html

HTH!
I am a BIG fan of food favors...so they're not some useless tchotckie cluttering up my house!
Do you have a theme for the shower? M&Ms or candies in their colors would be cute...or you could do something fun like spicy mustard or one of their favorite condiments in mini bottles (like BBQ sauce or jam or whatever). I saw a cute "Mr & Mrs To Bee...Love is Sweet" bumble bee themed wedding favor that was honey.
Cute, iced cookies, cake pops, truffles or a boxed cupcake or macaroons are always nice too.
If you decide against food, then I recommend something useful, like soap or candles or magnets. Check out Etsy for ideas:
