Update on me (IF related)
We will be doing injectables w/IUI
We met with the RE on Friday (after waiting for an hour) to discuss our plan. Since I did not respond well on Clomid or Femara (I only had one good egg for all those meds), he suggested Menopur. I am not sure what dosage or how many vials yet because I am required to take an injection class first. That is scheduled for 1/27. Then after that, I will call once AF comes, and get a baseline u/s on CD3. Then, the RE will order the Menopur. Then I will go in for another u/s to see how well I am responding to the injections and see whether or not I need to increase my meds. Then I will go in for another u/s and the RN will determine at that time whether I need the HcG shot and then schedule the IUI. This will take place next month (whoo hoo my birthday month!)
Luckily,
we have coverage but we still have to pay about $1K OOP for this cycle.
I do have some donated Menopur, but they have expired so I am not sure
if I can use them.
Wish me luck! I am nervous, scared, excited for this cycle. I am just a little uneasy how I will respond as I have heard that I need to limit my running because of the ovary stimulation.
I will keep you girls update as the progress comes along.
