Hi Girlies!

I can't believe how fast time is flying! Maybe it is sheer exhaustion???

Week one down and not with out some bumps! LOL Work is awesome! I am really liking the women in my office and the job I am doing which is a huge score! However, a week ago Sunday (the day before my first day) Will came down with a 103 fever. He was supposed to go to daycare for his first day the next day...that didn't happen. His fever didn't break until mid day Tuesday. Well I got home from work on Tuesday and looked at Fred who looked off and took his temp...he had a 103 fever! JOY! So both boys high fever and no day care! LOL Turns out we had a brush with roseola (the rash appeared yesterday on Fred, Will never got the rash!) So there were some daycare juggling acts to arrange but it all worked out. I kind of think it was helpful to ease myself into going back to work before having to drop anyone off at dc.

Today Will made it to dc for the first time and it was a bit rough...but he never cried and was happily playing when I left so that made it much easier! (I have to say I really like the home dc I found for him too. If anyone is looking...it is in the Garden City area.) It was nice to already have a week under my belt before having to leave him with 'a stranger'. I didn't have the anxiety of 1st day jitters at work and 1st day dc freak out. So in a way the fever was a blessing.

Anyways, I have been reading up catching up on everything. Lots to see...My girl Linds announced her news...totally psyched about that! Bridget my old classmate is having #4...Bridge you are nuts! Congrats lady! Lots of new baby news on the board...it's a boom! Congrats to all the new expecting mommies! Hope all the ladies closing in on their due dates are doing well!! AND the coolest news...Miss Lesa! YOU ARE A ROCKSTAR!!!

Pam, I hope Tristan is doing ok! I've been thinking about you!

Well I am getting a computer to myself tomorrow finally but I can't nest at work. So if I have the energy at night I will try to pop on and catch up. I miss you girls!!!

  • Hey you!  I'm glad that the boys are feeling better (and maybe someday if DH ever gets employed again, perhaps I will have to get more details about your daycare - because that is right near my house!).  Also happy to hear that your transition to the working world went well.  We'll have to meet up for lunch some time after you get settled in, seeing as we're work neighbors :)
