Fertility Issue Update

Well all of your thoughts and prayers have paid off so far! Still not PG but my bloodwork came back normal, so I am ovulating, which was making me nervous. DH did his sample (FINALLY!!) and it was perfect, so all of my teasing him about his sperm being old and using a wheelchair was wrong. LOL-gotta have a little fun in this stressful time!

Tomorrow I have a Hystosalpinogram (HSG) to see if my tubes are blocked. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

I have been off BC for a year and a half-ish and we haven't been using protection either.

Thanks ladies!! I have been doing some research and have read that quite a fw people get PG after an HSG since it flushes your tubes. That would be a great honeymoon gift!

Ok - that makes a lot more sense now. I was like, wow it's only been three months. Good Luck!

  • Oh wow, I had no idea you'd been trying that long.  I was just thinking as well, "It's only been 3 months, relax" lol.  I wish you the very best of luck.  DH and I haven't used any kind of protection in almost 6 1/2 years and have never gotten pregnant but we both have medical issues that we've been told could possibly prevent us from having kids; we're ok with this for now though bc neither of us are crazy about the idea of having kids to begin with.  But I can definitly relate to the stress/worry it causes thinking something is wrong.  I'll keep you in my thoughts!

I'm praying for that Jamaican baby!!! Wink  That would be so awesome to come home with an extra special package, and a great story to tell!

  • I survived the HSG but I must say it was not very pleasant. Apparenly my cervix and uterus are tilited which didn't make the procedure very easy. But I made it through and my tubes aren't blocked but the Dr said that there was a lot of pressure so if they were a little, they aren't now. He also warned me that they have had a few girls get pregnant after having the HSG done.

It is bad that I don't want to get PG this month because I want to be able to drink my weight in Dirty Monkeys in Jamaica??
