Holy Snow

I know lots of us are getting pretty hard by some of the weather thats coming up the east coast. This is a screen shot of the weather that is supposed to hit me tomorrow night into Wed. I live right on the edge of the bright red circle. Holy crap!

  • Holy crap.  I'l have to go check when it's supposed to hit Bangor.... dizammmmm.  Hope you've set in a supply of food and water!  People are nuts on the roads in the snow.
  • Im just hoping we get enough to close work on wednesday....im in southern new jersey and they are saying 4-6 i want 16+ LOL

  • Hm, Wednesday, but I can't find info on how much we're going to get.
  • So I think we're wusses here on the west coast....cause it's been in the 40's, and some nights in the 30's, and I can't stop complaining lol!

  • I've said this 820 times already, but: I have to fly for work on Wednesday. Boston to New York, then New York to Amman.  If I can get to NY, we should be fine. But I'm nervous. And they wouldn't let me pay to change my ticket today; I have to wait until the flight is canceled.  Which means I won't be sleeping for the next two days, because I am incapable of shutting my brain off.

We had the remnants of a hurricane for our wedding, a blizzard for our move, and now, potentially, a foot + of snow for this business trip. I fully expect to have it rain frogs when we try to go to FL next month to see his sister.

Anyway, I hope everyone in the snow belt has squirreled away your french toast supplies!

  • I am in the 8-12 range...already counting on a snow day.  Today I told the parents at the after school program that I am the director of that it was cancelled on Wednesday if there was school.  I am tired of snow already

  • At least we're purple down here
  • Bleh, I'm in that 8-12" range. Although they always say we're gunna get a ton of snow and we never do. Benefit of living in an actual valley, so I guess I'll have to just wait and see what happens.

  • Bah! We're in the purple. I am thinking about pre-calling into work. Not that I can't drive in the snow, I always do, but I just don't feel like shoveling out tomorrow morning and fighting with all the other jack@$$e$ on the road! Worcester roads were HORRIBLE last snow storm!

Where?!?!  I had no idea there was another south jersey girl!!  I'm 20 minutes north of AC.. anywhere close?!

Anddd.. we better get 16+ inches so I can have a day off tomorrow!!

  • I have the weather channel app on my phone and it says we are supposed to get 10-14 inches!! I'm excited because DH probably won't go to work tomorrow if it is that bad!! Snuggle days are my favorite!! Yipppeee!! :)
  • Storm shifted...my 8-12 just shifted to 12-18....BOOOOOO

  • Definitely moved more north.. I'm starting to wonder how much of this we'll actually get.  I haven't seen a single flurry and the maps all seem to be moving way north of here.

    So disappointing!

  • We're looking at 8-12 inches in NYC and the outer boroughs, so I am banking on a snow day!  I heard the weather guy say that depending on the path some areas could get up to 18...ugh

My in-laws are in Florida so not only will DH & I have to shovel our house, but we'll have to do theirs as well (they live less than a block away).  Not looking forward to that part!

  • DH has been out plowing since 4:30AM, it is still snowing but the flakes are small and it isn't amounting to a whole lot. I think we have gotten about 3 inches, maybe.

I want a blizzard, like a big huge dumping of snow!! I want it to come in the measurement of feet not inches! Just not when I am trying to fly to Jamaica.

Great I bet I just jinxed myself.

  • Well, after hours (hours!) of panicked phone calls, emails, etc., I was finally able to rebook my flights.  Of course, I now get in two hours before I need to be there on Saturday, but at least I'll get there.

And we just got the snow day email, whut whut!  So not only do I not have to spend tomorrow sitting in an airport, I get to stay home and have a snowed in day with my husband, who will be "working" from home. Yay!

    Good luck to everyone!
