Ok, sorry to do ANOTHER post about this, but I was thinking.
If we could get a really good count, maybe we could get a deal on rooms by doing a big block of them (like a wedding)....also, maybe we could find a place where we could get a private room for our dinner/mixer? I'm thinking like a mini RD or something.
Anyone willing to investigate that is familiar enough with the area? the Hard Rock could be cool, Sarah....just saying :-)

Like, I'm just thinking we could prob do a group dinner that is a certain price per person and that would be a) cheaper than going out maybe and b) more conducive to mingling, etc.
I did something like this for one of my BFFs for her bridal shower and it was really reasonable. We could do a thing with a buffet or plated meal with like two options and a cash bar.
I like this idea and think it would be great for mingling. It might entice me to stay the night if it is a dinner

I'm sending my cousin a TY gift for the NYE deals she gave us ... once she receives it (mid-next week) I'll work on this. The hotel does have an amazing restaurant, China Grill, and I'm sure we could rent out part of the space.
I also totally think everyone should stay the night!! I get better deals than room blocks.

But I'm also thinking that just reserving a section of the restaurant might not be a bad idea, then we can just charge to our rooms. I'm not sure?

I am planning to come, but not 100% sure on if I will do Fri and Sat or just Sat - likely just Sat, and I would be fine with staying at the hardrock if everyone else is as the prices are all pretty similar ($100-$150 is about what I am expecting).
So count me in!
I think doing the restaurant could be fun, but if they have "meeting rooms" sometimes you can get a good deal on that too - like it might be say $500 to rent the room then $30 per person for dinner and a cash bar. If we get say 15 people that could be under $70 a person, which is probably not bad for the use of the room and having a nice meal - but probably ordering off the menu might be cheaper/more controlled, but it would be noisier, unless they have a private-ish section.
