Sorry, I've been MIA....

But, I ended up having knee surgery right before christmas!

I had a patella realignment. Basically they broke my tibia in half (because it was really out of alignment) and moved it back in place. They put a screw in it and they took my knee cap off cleaned and smoothed out my cartilage and put my knee cap back in place. I ended up staying in the hospital for 2 nights because they gave me a nerve block that didn't work and I was in a lot of pain. I did make it home for Christmas luckly! My poor hubby has to do everything for me. I can't bend my knee or put any pressure on it for 6 weeks.  Talk about an amazing hubby - he helps me shower (I have to use a chair), dress, feed me, clean the house - he has done basically everything because I have been in a lot of pain and just sit around... Anyways, I just wanted to let you know what was going on...

  • Oh Jen!! Knee surgeries are the worst!! I had mine done at the same time, talk about a PITA!!

  • Oh no, I feel your pain (I've had 4 knee surgeries) and I hope you feel better soon. It's great that your hubby is helping, the last thing you want to do is set yourself back by doing too much. I hope you're feeling good as new asap!

    I kid, but it's really sweet what your hubby is doing for you.  I'm glad you're on the mend!  I'm sending happy healing vibes this instant... wawawawawawawa... (feel better?)  If not, I'll keep trying.

  • Glad you're back! Sorry about the knee but I'm glad you were able to be home for Christmas and not stuck in the hospital. Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

  • Jen, I was just wondering where you had been! What a way to spend the holidays but thank goodness you have such a great hubby!!
