Wedding Gift
DH just texted me to say we just received a card (with a check) in the mail from my cousin & his wife for our wedding.
Ummm... our 1 year anniversary is in February (I know they have a year to send it) & they went to the wedding.
No, we didn't get a gift from them at the time, but we did get a shower gift. We've seen them quite a few times this year, as they don't live that far away.
This is kind of strange. Don't you think?

ETA: Or maybe it's like a marriage bonus. You're doing it right, so they think you deserve an extra treat!
Meh, MIL didn't get us a gift until 6 months later...
It's all good! A gift is still a gift late or not!
Oh no, I'm not complaining. I just thought it was strange. I also found it strange at the time of the wedding that they didn't get us a gift. It didn't bother me too much because they flew down to FL for the weddding and ticket prices were high at the time.
Better late than never I guess!

That's sweet! How thoughtful of them to think of you and remember your anniversary in such a generous way!
I hope someone sends us a check when we approach our anniversary! I do admit, that seems a little strange, but I'd take it!
H and I have been married almost 8 months and we still haven't gotten a gift from MIL!
