I am happy that I am not in work but at the same time, I tend to go stir crazy and I can't take being trapped inside. So far, we, in Nashua, NH, have gotten 12 inches and it is still going strong. What about others who have gotten or are in the middle of this storm....how much so far or did you get total and how is your town or city handling it?

Re: Snow, Snow, Go Away...
I can totally relate on the going stir crazy part. I am not sure what the heck we are going to do to keep ourselves from going nuts today.
We have gotten at least 10+ inches. Its hard to tell because of the drifts but its definitely stacking up out there. At least the rain has stopped and we are back to snow. Nothing worse than wet, heavy rain!
Something I don't miss about living with my dad...I was the shoveler because of his bad back and my grandmother couldn't do it. Now we live in a complex where they do all of the shoveling....don't even own a shovel anymore.
Wow, sounds like a winter wonderland in your neck of the woods!
It's been snowing/flurrying in Chicago for over 24 hrs now and seems worse where I live than downtown (still in Chicago, but about 4 miles from Sears Tower). We have about 2.5" in our backyard.
And lucky we have a shovel, DH was out there last night cleaning up for us

Yeah I would say that we've got over 12 inches here in Rochester, NH and still going strong as well. It's up to the center of the tires on my car. Poor DH had to drive into work in this mess! It took him almost double the time to get to work!
Our town does a pretty good job of keeping up with all of it. They have been going down our side street fairly regularly. My beagle can hear them coming at least 3 blocks away and goes crazy barking every time!
ughhh over a foot.....we're in the hardest hit town in MA most likely....and we're getting hit HARD....I'm at work tho...DH took me into work.....yay for me talking him out of going LOL......but i have my new tea mug, and my new vera lunch box and freshly exchanged pants
would still rather be home with the to do list i made for myself incase i had a snow day
still cant wait to have a school job with my fancy degree so I can have such a thing as snow days.....could have stayed home but wouldnt have been paid
