I made it! Finally! To work that is.
We probably got about 12" of snow last night, which you'd think we would know how to deal with but noooooo, the highways were a complete mess.
Days like this make me regret living in a corner house, because shoveling out 1' for snow on 150 ft of sidewalk is just not my idea of fun at 7am. Oh well, early morning workout, right?
Derek opted to stay home today, which is probably a good idea, since it would have taken him at least 3 hours to drive each way. It only took us (my carpool buddy and I) just over an hour to get in, which, all things considered, isn't that bad.
How is everyone today? Anyone having a snow day?
Re: Good Morning!
I do! I do! And it is our first snow day of the year, which I am psyched about. I won't be excited about them after this one (because it starts to delay school release in June), but today is GREAT! Ed took the day off too...which is good, because he can help with the snow removal when it finally stops snowing!
My only real plans for the day are to catch up on some DVR stuff and get in a run on the treadmill...oh, and finish the pot of coffee I have been working my way through this morning!

Yikes, you guys are getting a lot of snow! The temperatue would have to drop by about 10 degrees here in order for that to happen. So instead, we're stuck with mild temps and rain. Ick. I'm starting to wonder if there's really a sun up there!
Otherwise, today is good. I got in a morning workout and had a good annual review this morning. Nothing special going on tonight.
Cecilia arrived 12 October 2012
No snow day today, but the schools are on a two hour delay, so I'll bet the only people here will be me and another coworker who doesn't have kids. We got maybe an inch.
I'm stuck at work today making cold calls--I hate doing this and am not looking forward to it at all. I used to do this and there's a reason I left those jobs. And I have a coworker who is driving me up the wall lately, so I am hoping she opts to stay home today.
Just trying to get to the weekend so we can get to Boston to visit my little brother! Very excited as I haven't yet been.
I'm still off sick - alas the TDSB never closes its schools for snow... the last time was back in '07 for a half day.
But, having just woken up, I think I'm actually starting to feel better. The coughing seems to be quieting down (although my throat is getting sore), which means I'm no longer convulsing with chest coughs in the corner. Perhaps a return to work tomorrow is in order.

I'm at work. Cold. We got the snow yesterday and now we just have cold and wind. I'm definitely not feeling it today. Oh well, the good news is that it's Wednesday and I have a 3 day weekend coming up this weekend. I think that is the main thing that is getting me through the week.
Good morning, ladies. We don't have much snow, but we have plenty of ice and it's 8* outside. I heard on the radio that there is snow on the ground in 49 states - everywhere but Florida.
Off to work - have a great day everyone!
Good morning!
I had an extra long walk to work this morning because I had a meeting in another building at 9. But as long as I'm well bundled, I like the workout of walking in the snow.

I'm back to work. Thankfully I have tons of stuff to do and have been going stir crazy. Raynes I got your email. I'll take a look at it tonight. It may take me a few days to get back to you with something. Since I'm playing catch up with work and have an event this weekend (hopefully) for an exposition.
I went home at one yesterday because of the weather and ended up cleaning my house top to bottom. It felt so good to have a clean/organized closet again.
Not a problem at all! I mean, Gah, I'm more important than work. :P
Also, I'm in the process of sending you another (much shorter) e-mail with some details I forgot to mention yesterday!
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
Hi!.... I got back from vaca monday night, but lurked a little yesterday as I was catching up on emails and wasting time uploading my pics (tehehe)...
We went to the Royal Bahamian (Sandals) in Nassau, and it was awesome. Definitely the best all-inclusive I've been to, and would go back in a second..... even if I felt a little bit like Jan Levenson-Gould. Weather wasn't too hot, but still nice enough to layout. It was nice to get away and spend time with P without our laptops on our laps (me) and being glued to sportscenter (him)... although we did catch all 4 games.
Snowed a little here, maybe 5".... but the roads are fine. I still took my sweetass time getting in and will also be late tomorrow as I have what I hope is my last OB visit for a while.

Good morning!
Russ is flying home today finally and I get to make myself a doctor's appointment. I think I have Mumps. Fantastic.
Ehayes: Glad you had a nice trip. You're island picture is now my desktop background for the day.
It snowed last night and it's pouring down freezing cold sideways rain right now. They're not sure what the day is going to end up like. I'm less than thrilled to be out in this weather, since no one knows how to handle it.
EHayes, I hope that your trip was fabulous!
Morning ladies. We are snowed in here. We have probably about a foot now, but it is still coming down like crazy and the wind is blowing it everywhere.
Today is a pj day for me, hanging with all my favorite boys and watching Netflix. Ok, I will probably try to clean out some of the boys clothes, but that will be about as much work as I do today.
Good Morning!
I have been so busy with work and house I have been a terrible nestie!
EHayes-I am so glad you had a good time. We are planning a trip in March and your post has me so excited!
Erinn - so glad you had a nice trip. I love your pictures.
My boss is back in the office and driving me crazy. She asked me to do a bunch of things already and wants everything done like now. That's the downside to her having been out sick for two days. I may not be posting much today but I'll be lurking.
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
Erin - Good to have you back, looks like you had an AMAZING time. The pictures are beautiful!
I am snowed in today! All the schools are closed today, including the University that Ben goes to. So we are just having a lazy day today. I think we may go out a little later and build a snowman or something fun like that. For the time being I am just enjoying being able to laze around.
I think we only got about 6 inches. The school weren't closed, so Mark and I got to drive in to work together. I was 15 minutes late, though, because traffic was slow and I really had to pee so we had to detour into another town so I could go.
At least work wasn't as hectic today. I did get a reply from my boss that they are going to look into adding more pharmacist hours at the small hospital so that we would have some overlap throughout the day. Yay!
Donna - what makes you think you have the mumps? And if you do, please tell me you're not exposing others and just staying home
