Re: Show off your cake topper
This is an up close picture of them. They are actually magnetic salt & pepper shakers that my Mom gave us Christmas of 09 as an early wedding gift. We loved them so much that we used them as our topper.
And here is a picture of them along with the rest of the cake table.
We now have them displayed on our book shelf
Here is mine, I tried so hard to find a bride and groom drinking wine, but the closest I could get was a champagne bottle being popped.
Here is the whole cake
Ours were little wooden dolls that my Mom made from wooden clothes pins & little wooden balls from Hobby Lobby, paint, different fabric, and string. Mama E is one crafty chick!
We didn't have a cake though. We had a cupcake table & they stood on top of the cupcake stand. This may not be the best quality picture (not a pro-pic), but I just love my niece's face in the bottom right corner. I could hear her tiny voice saying, "Can I please have a chocolate one?" and my sister was telling her she had to wait. This was while toasts were being made, so while the microphone was being passed, I snuck her a chocolate cupcake. She said please!

So cute! I love all the personalized toppers. We just had flowers, but our cake was awesome.
We just had flowers too but the cake was my favorite part of the wedding. It was not only beautiful but it was delicious
Sooooo sorry they are huge...it would only let me cut and paste. When I tried the regular way, it would not work
I just realized I have no non-pro pics of my cake, or us with the cake! I don't have access to my pro pics at work.. so looks like you get a stupid generic pic till I can post a good one!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE our cake topper. I am so glad I found a reasonably priced custom one on Etsy. I think it's so freaking cute. And seriously, she did a great job. The groom literally looks exactly like Keith. lmao

Wow ladies, these are all too cute. I love them all!
Our was our logo. I had someone on etsy cut the wood. Then I painted and assembled myself (well my mom helped with assembly b/c I was ready to given up on getting the damn numbers straight).

We had a few cakes so...
Here are our vintage (1929) cake toppers.
I can't find the only photo we have of our other birdies in action (other than in the background of the one above), so here they are just in my apartment.
and some of our cakes without toppers:
Love our love birds!

Thanks! As soon as I saw a picture of it, I knew I had to have it! Besides my dress (and my groom!), it's probably my favorite thing about our wedding.
And it was delicious!!! I can't wait for our first anniversary so we can eat it again.

I just had flowers as a cake topper. There was a chocolate bunny on the side of the cake since he proposed on Easter Sunday by putting the ring box in with a 2 pound chocolate bunny.
This is a close up of the topper flowers.
Our grooms cake topper that I made. Its the Georgia Tech mascot, Buzz.
Our Cake topper was two origami birds in a wire tree with a flower base, but for some reason the bird/tree were put out on the cake until halfway through the wedding. Without Birds:
With the birds (they got a bit lopsided as the night progressed):
I don't have a close up of this, but Nick's mother lent us their cake topper that was originally her parents' and we put it on our memory table that held their wedding pictures as well as my both sets of my late grandparents as well.
