We didn't get the house

Well, we were beat out by another offer. Ours was about $14k below asking, which I thought was a pretty good offer given that the asking price was very aggressive IMO. We were willing to go up $5k from that but no more. But of course, when there's a multiple bid situation, it's a whole new game. I'm guessing that the buyers ended up paying very close to the asking price, if not the full price.

Oh well. I liked the place a lot and I'm disappointed, but I was really in love with the idea that we might actually have a place to move. I don't like this uncertainty. But there will be other houses.

BOO! I hate the not knowing and the offering/counter offering crap that comes with house hunting. I am especially nervous about putting our house on the market this spring--now not only will we have to find the new house, but we'll also have to sell this one. Oh yeah, and then we have to pack and move (ick). We aren't even putting the house on the market until April(ish) and I already am anxious about the whole process.
