I hate it when the baby drops
I know most people love this part, say they can breathe easier, etc., but all it ever means for me is that I have a ton of pressure now really low. Bring on the uncomfortable part of pregnancy.....
Re: I hate it when the baby drops
SERIOUSLY! I don't know where this pregnancy went -- it has really zipped by, and I have so much to do! Time to get my butt in gear and get ready for this baby....
Time is flying!! Don't want to hijack your post, but a question for a wiser more experienced mama....
How do you know? Does your belly look bigger but lower? I had three people tell me I looked bigger on Monday. Which was funny because I said the same thing to Matt that morning. However, neither my boss or Matt who see me every day said they noticed. It does seem like she is resting in my lap when I sit, and there is definatly more pressure down there...could it be? She also seems to be resting more than this past weekend, still times that she is wiggling, but not as much stretching out like before..
Can you tell I am at the point where every change is a "sign"?
I dont' think I ever dropped and I could never tell any of those differences that others talked about. Given that I went 2 weeks overdue with nary a labor sign and had a c/s, it's possible I never dropped.
Hm, that wasn't so helpful. I guess my point is that you're in good company about being kind of clueless and that not everyone has all the traditional labor signs.
this!!!
I don't know about bigger, but definitely lower. My belly sat under my boobs until earlier this week, and now it's a couple of inches below -- and now when I try to do dishes, my belly gets in the way at the counter top.

Wow! I can't believe how fast it's going for you either!!!
Caroline dropped around the same time, although she was always real low to begin with. The big difference was when I pulled up my shirt I could see a flat stop between my boobs and belly that wasn't there before
As far as how it felt, I guess I've been saved that part b/c I don't remember

Me too!
I remember that period being really uncomfortable. But, you're almost there!!!
I'm right there with you.
So ready to be done, completely uncomfortable! Every time I stand up, it feels like he's going to fall out - the pain on the underside of my belly is killing me.
I'm measuring 3 weeks ahead currently - so almost 39 weeks... I delivered DD at 37 weeks, so I am now bigger than I ever got with her. And I certainly feel like it!
