How are you entertaining your toddler today?
The new toys help, and we've colored and played with stickers a lot this morning, and now it's snack trap/TV break followed by mommy shower/Owen plays in his room, then lunch, a little playing with toys, then hopefully a nap while I pack up the holidays. But naps have only been about 1.5 hours lately (booooo...what happened to 3 hours???), so that leaves us a few hours to fill before dinner. I'm thinking of making cookies, I was also thinking about painting, we may have a little dance party, but I'm open to new and brilliant ideas. I don't think we'll go outside as long as it's still snowing and windy.
Re: How are you entertaining your toddler today?
We're probably going to try going outside in the snow and wind after nap and food time.
We've read a lot of books today, played with his little light-weight balls, watched some birds on YouTube, and did a lot of eating. I'd consider finger painting and more playing with his kitchen later. He is usually pretty happy to just run around like a looney and have books (the same damn books) read to him over and over.
Yep, Marcus' day thus far has pretty much been running around like a looney and reading the same damn books over and over. He just had an early lunch and is down for a nap. Hoping it's a long one! I don't think we'll go out in the snow today; he's generally not been a fan of the snow anyway, I think he'll freak out if he's up to his middle in it.
Her mommy or her 12 yr old neighbor is.
However, if I was at work it would be a coloring/movie/baking day. Although for the past few days she has been completely content to play by herself with her new Disney Princess figures. I get "scolded" if I touch them. She cried yesterday when I held two as we walked down the stairs. I had to take them from her because she wouldn't/couldn't hold onto the railing and hold onto all 4 of them....
Oh, for the age when Owen is old enough to cuddle and drink hot chocolate while watching a movie!
He finally went down for a nap about 30 minutes ago after running around like a nutcase for a while after lunch. Maybe we'll try the cookie thing when he wakes up.
Ditto Owen!
We've been doing the usual stuff like reading books and playing trains/cars/trucks. DH made pudding w/ Jake this morning (he has a snow day too) and we just came in from outside. I was shocked that Jake had fun out there with the wind and freezing snow blowing in his face, but he did and hopefully it burned some energy off!!
As for the rest of the evening, we'll have dinner soon, play in the playroom a little more and then take a really long bath before bed
