Re: If you could change what you do for a living
Well, being realistic, no, I would not change my job. I have always wanted to be a teacher and I love what I do. Sometimes I can become very frustrated, but I don't think I would ever do something else. I may go to a different area (try instructing a college course) or a different position (ESOL lead teacher), but I always think I'll stay in education.
Now, if we are talking about if anything were possible, I would love to open a scrapbook shop. Or be a travel agent. Or a wedding planner. But I doubt any of that will really ever happen.
Oh yeah, and I can't wait to be a SAHM. Hopefully that will happen sooner, rather than later.
Oh yeah, without a doubt!
SAHW would be fantastic. I'm really gunning for this to happen in the next few years!
I also wouldn't mind teaching, in fact I plan to go back to school once I'm able to SAH and I'm probably go for education.

If I had known the path my life would have taken, I would have simply studied Mandarin in college and studied abroad and taught in China to gain fluency to help my prospects of joining the FS. Oh, and I would have applied a few years ago when they were on a hiring binge instead of now with a new Congress that seems to favor funneling money toward flexing our military might over the use of diplomacy.
I think I would still want to do what I'm trying to do. Part of me would love to be a doctor- perhaps a pediatric oncologist- but I long ago fell victim to self doubt of my math and science skills (even though I always scored higher in those tests). In reality too, I just have too much of a wanderlust to settle into a career like that.

Well, I am prefectly happy with being a SAHM, and I love my old job (which I sometimes still do) as a floral designer, but what I have always wanted to do the most was be published (preferably bestselling) novelist. Or have a career in interior design.
I would love to be a trauma nurse, or a flight nurse. I've wanted to be a nurse for a long time, but I just can't deal with all the crap. I deal with enough crap and I'm not even on the caring for patients end of it.
I love being a SAHM. I would be perfectly happy doing this for the rest of my life
But, if I had to do something (but not for the sake of money) I would like to open a coffee/bagel shop. I would make it super cute and cozy. Like, people would want to come to my shop just to hang out and do crossword puzzles while they sip on their coffee. But IDK, maybe this is a bad idea considering I don't even like coffee! But it sounds like it would be fun
Baby Macy is here!

I wish I hadn't been so stubborn in college and went ahead and pursued more medical oncology research. I'm trying to go that route now with a Master's (someday) but it is a lot harder to start at square one then it would've been when my skills were fresh.
Overall, I love what I do but it frustrates me that I wish I could do more to help some of the patients I work with.
My dream is opening a scrabook shop! H and I have talked about it numerous times, but every time we think about it, the timing just isn't right. You really have to do it up to be able to survive, with all the Internet shops out there!
I think I'm going to love being a SAHM, but the only other regret I have is not having a nursing degree. I have a Masters in Health Service Management, but it's REALLY hard to find a GOOD job in the field unless you have some sort of clinical background.

Yes! I would love to sit and correct people's bad grammar and punctuation without them thinking I'm a jerk. This makes me want to vent real quick. One of my cousins over-uses the apostrophe on every FB status update she makes. I'm talking like "Going to Disney, can't wait to go on ride's and take lots of pic's!" I want to murder her.. so I love imagining a job like this where I could fix all those horrible mistakes.
I would love to be a SAHM. I would have to have something to keep my hands busy though, so I would want to make something to sell-jewlery, hats for kids and handbands.
I also love photography. Although, I haven't picked up my camera in so long. Or, I would be a travel agent.
What grade would you like to do? Elem? Middle? High?
THIS! minus the SAHM part
I would love to open a shop like this as well. And here is SH there isn't really anything like that.

Realistically, I would stay in my job now because I love what I do (school counselor). If they do away with counselor's like they always threaten to do, I would teach 1st grade, or GIFTED students.
But, if I could I would open a dance studio. My dad planned on doing this for me, if I chose to do it. He said, "You can go to college and I pay for it, or you can open a dance studio and I will get it off the ground financially and then it will be yours." I told him i wanted to go to college, to have a backup in case I couldnt dance for some reason (injury, etc). He thought I made a wise decision, but sadly he passed away before I could ever choose either. So, here I sit with 90,000 in student loans and no dance studio. :-( But, I do love what I do!
This exactley!!
But if I had to stay in my field, I would rather teach at a PA school
Yeah, I think it would be so fun! We have had a few open here in SH, but they never last long at all. I never really shopped in them cause they were so expensive compared to Joanne's and Michaels.
YES! I
scrapbooking! Remember once you gave me the name of some scrapbooking books that you like.
